This has been a workhorse for cutting aluminum on a Shapeoko HDM

Works well with aluminum!
I just finished making some parts for my 3d printer out of aluminum and it was flawless. Went extra slow to see what it could do. I started with contours at 50mm a min, then went to 100mm a min with no problems. Plunging for holes went at 40mm a min with no chatter at all. was very impressed with this bit. will have to get some more for different cuts

BEST 1/8" Single Flute for Aluminum and More
I have used and abused a bunch of these types of bits for my Shapeoko 3 XXL. This is hands down the best one yet.Cutting slots in 3/16" 6061 Aluminum at 75"/min with .007"DOC with no problems for hours. Really impressed.The fact that this is also a 0.25" shank makes tool changing so much simpler. I am going to buy a bunch of these even though I still haven't broken one yet.

Cuts aluminum well, good for deep features
Using in a DIY CNC. Cuts aluminum better than all my other endmills. Plunges well and does deep cuts well. Would love if they sold more of their cutters on Amazon.One note:I clean my endmills and parts in isopropyl alcohol and the endmill got spots on it after I let it soak overnight. Weird looking but still cuts well.

Purchased for DIY router based CNC. I used it to cut 7mm thick aluminum plate.This bit is incredible compared to the 10-15 other bits I purchased and tried with wood and aluminum. By far easier and more durable

Works as expected. For my Shapeoko I’ve learned that I have to work in 4/1000” passes to minimize chatter. But this bit can definitely get the job done.

If you have a small hobbyist CNC machine, this is the bit for you.
This bit fits in my CNC machine's router motor without an adapter. It holds up well during repeated use cutting aluminum.
