Buy PVA Glue as well
This model, like a lot of others in the series consists of a couple of sheets of thin plywood, with the pieces precut into them. There is also a sheet of "instructions". I say "instructions", its actually a picture of the plywood sheets with the connection points numbered. The idea is that you start off by putting connection point 1 on one piece together with connection point 1 on another piece. then move onto connection point 2 etc. That in itself is a game. If you have ever played the game of "Pairs" then you will appreciate this. You will spend at least 50% of your time trying to find two corresponding numbers. Having found the two connecting points you have to figure which way around they go. In a lot of cases this is obvious. In other cases it was trial and error or using logic to work it out. If you treat this as part of the challenge of the activity then you are fine. If you just want a 5 minute, put it together kit then you will be disappointed.Build quality is poor compared to other kits in the series. The fuselage consists of loads of pieces that slot onto the skeleton. Large amounts of PVA glue required to stop them all falling off when the model is turned upside down. The wings did not fit onto the lugs properly and required adult help and glue, which needed to dry before more progress could be made. However since the kit only costs £5, you could say that you would expect that. There are more expensive kits on the market. If you want precision engineering and ready sanded pieces then go for those. Is it suitable for a 7 year old? Yes, but it may need an adult to help them when they get into difficulty. Great for parent / child bonding. You may have to slow down an over eager child to stop them breaking bits.In the end you will have a plane that any child would be proud of. We have tried a fair few of the kits in this series. This is probably one of the most disappointing. It went together, but would not necessarily recommend. There are better kits in the series.

well made
the only thing is that the printed plan does not match the week pieces, I did contact the supplier and he said that he was going to sort it out but he did not get back to me, I have bought 6 of these models, the aircraft carrier also had to have some modification done to the construction also
