A lovely book of perseverance
Our son is five and kind of going through the same phase as Wobblysaurus, transitioning from a balance bike to a real one. This well illustrated and written book tells a story of perseverance, to keep on trying to achieve your goals, and has landed in our house at just the right time. He has really enjoyed reading it with us and it has encouraged him to have another try with the peddle bike after flatly refusing to use it for a month. It's a bit long for him to read by himself yet although if we alternate pages with him reading one and we read the next we happily make it all the way through.

Wobblysaurus
We have read some of the other books in the Dino Feelings series from author Rachel Bright and illustrator Chris Chatterton and I was slightly worried that this time they might have pushed the metaphor a little too far. I couldn't see how a story about learning to ride a bike would be that interesting. However, it's an absolutely charming tale that may be about learning to ride a bike but is also about not giving up and how sometimes things might take a little longer to learn than we might like. I also loved the relationship between the Grandma and Wobblysaurus - I thought that was very well depicted. Although the recommended age range is 3-5 years, I think older children will enjoy reading the story for themselves, especially if they are struggling with learning a new skill.Overall - charming and a great addition to the series.

Great meaning
This is a great book for toddlers and preschoolers about perseverance and resilience. It teaches an important lesson about trying and not giving up, trusting the process of learning and enjoying the joy of the results! It is easy to read and the illustrations are engaging. It shows how the Dinosaur overcomes the feelings that come with struggling to learn to ride a bike. I recommend it,my 4 year old loves it!
