DR Strings HI-DEF NEON Bass Guitar Strings (NPB-45)

Have had these on my bass for a couple of months now, great sound and they give my bass a cool look. I play for fun about 3-5 hours a week and haven’t seen much wear on the strings, would definitely buy again.

Who else offers a neon pink string? They look and sound great on my white Yamaha bass. Easy to play and long lasting. Coated might not be your thing but having a little neon flair isn’t a bad thing.

Strings were easy to put on and the package was labeled with which strings were what. The sound is pretty good but not as good as my nickel strings, however with that color you can’t beat it.

I’ve never played coated strings, was surprised at how crisp they are. Treble is still there, and the tone is great. These are quality strings. A student used these for an 80’s themed drumline show and got tons of compliments.

they look fantasitc, the black light makes the strings pop. and yhe sound is remarkable clean n clear like uncoated strings. ill buy more for my 5 string

I really wanted to like these strings because they look really awesome on the bass, but the way my bass is grounded through the bridge, the coating on the strings was preventing the strings from being grounded and I was getting a lot of really annoying noise/hum. I drove myself crazy redoing the grounding and everything on my bass and even taking it in to the shop to get a second opinion, but finally when I tried switching back to normal strings the noise went away immediately. If you know that your bass can take coated strings then I'd highly recommend these as they're really bright, neon pink and cool looking, but unfortunately they were incompatible with my instrument, so I can only give three stars.

Loved the look at first sight then I plugged in and played. They sounded incredible! Loved the feel and the bend. I have 2 other bass's I plan on getting DR Neon strings for. Love these strings so far!

Just arrived this afternoon, so I've restrung my Epiphone EB3 and tried them out...perfect!!...look great against the Cherry Red body and play beautifully, not as hard on the fingertips (and I'm sure the fretboard) as regular roundwounds. I usually dont change strings on my basses unless I break one (which I havent done yet). so let's see how many years I can get out of these babies.
