Wonderful product
I bought this product thinking it was for models and not soldering but it surprised me in being effectively efficient for my needs. Great light and works with any portable charging block. I noticed the power cable had a USB port on one end so I used my rechargeable portable battery for my cell phone and it worked like a charm. Now i can move it from my work room to my son's room when ever he needs it or even have it on a folding table in front of the TV with out any cable hassle.

Pretty nice for the price.
Looks nice and works pretty good. The light works great. The only issue I can see is that for the magnifying glass to be really useful you would have to turn the unit around. The magnifying glass does not move forward enough you give you a good look at most circuit boards I've used on it. I find a good heavy duty pair of reading glasses work much better because you can move your head around without having to reposition a magnifying glass.

It's cheaply made but works

It's ok in my book.
I rated this as fair as possible and I believe it is accurate. One thing is if they're going to use two different lens strengthens on one lense then maybe they should half and half it or 3/4 and 1/4 it will even work. What they have done is mostly it's 3x and a spot about the size of a penny is 4.5x. So you can't really use the 4.5x with anything that envolves depth perception but is ok for reading small numbers. The other thing I have noticed is the usb plug wire fits loose to the light and doesn't plug in all the way witch after a few minutes of use and moving around the round connector that plugs into the light became loose and now causes the light to flicker or stay off.. It does have an option to use 3 AAA batteries witch is what I will be using until I get my power supply set-up with a new 5v usb port and a new adapter put into the light so it stops flickering and turning off. Other then that I find it to be a useful for the price. The clips are strong and have enough room to move around to hold wires in place. The center piece is adjustable so you can clamp to pods or diodes to hold the board still. I would buy another cause the cord that plugs into the light can be changed with a little time and inexpensively and as long as I can see to read component numbers the lens will make due.

Works Great !
Now I can put models together much better, faster and get better results. The built in light and 2 clamps make this a joy to use. Don't know how I managed without it all these years. And very low priced. Can't spending more elsewhere. Get this one, you won't regret it.

Where has this device been hiding all my life??
I just saved a over $100 high-end waterproof speaker system with this device. The micro USB port had pulled off the printed circuit board it was attached to, which I understand is a common problem with this speaker (EcoRox). The USB port was TINY, and the small printed circuit it had been covered to was small, maybe one inch long and .5 inch wideI used this device to hold the small board in place while I removed the old solder, then again to solder the new micro USB port in place. Without this device, there was NO WAY I could have done this job. There are two lenses built into the magnifier. As my eyes are 58 years old, I wish the smaller one was a bit larger and a bit more powerful.I still highly recommend it.

A good starting point.
No instructions were included for setup, looked a pictures online and put it together with little problem. I wish the magnifying glass arm was another 1-2 inches in length to allow for more adjustments. As designed, the glass is very close to your work. It is a close fit to get the soldering iron between the glass and the item being soldered. I liked the LED ring around the magnifying glass. The base could have been a little wider to improve stability.

It has been awesome. The USB cord for power is a joke
I have used it to replace watch batteries and work on computer peripherals and other small electronic equipment. It has been awesome. The USB cord for power is a joke...only a few inches long. I utilize the 3 AAA batteries and it works great.

Good but the usb cable could be longer.
