As a warming blanket user of 30 years, I have never been happier with a purchase of an electric blanket. Not only does this blanket feel soft and look great, but it doesn’t slide down to the foot of the bed. It stays where you put it all night long. The soft warmth is an accurate reflection of the settings and stays lit up on the controller. It is by far, the most outstanding blanket I’ve ever had. I bought due to my previous blanket having a high pitch sound emitting from the control. A little research educated me that it was an electrical issue and could have had devastating results. Amazon allowed me exchange on that 6 month purchase and although I paid more, I now have the peace of mind of purchasing a blanket that is safe and no wires are felt through it and is softer than any blanket I’ve ever owned. I was skeptical even after reading the positive reviews that the blanket would live up to expectations, but it totally did. Our previous electric blanket died this year and I did some extensive research for a new blanket and decided to take the leap and trust the reviewers that gave this blanket such high marks and I am very happy I did. The blanket itself is very soft and comfortable, the wires are thin and not very noticeable, but the "soft" heating is the best part.Our previous blanket was used more as a bed warmer, we'd turn it on before getting into bed to warm up the bed, but then turn it off after getting in bed b/c it usually was too warm to leave on all night. The first night I used this new blanket I was thinking we'd do the same thing, and was a little worried that the blanket wasn't working b/c it didn't seem to get very warm to the touch. I actually pulled out the documentation b/c I thought I was going to have to call the company to report a faulty product, but then I read the directions and saw that it said that it wasn't meant to get hot but to provide a gentle heat, so I tried sleeping with it on low for the whole night and it was perfect. The blanket provided a soft, gentle heat that never got so warm that I needed to turn off the power, but definitely kept me comfortable. If I am particularly cold I might set it on 1 or 2 (of 10), but I've never had to go higher than that. The only downside is that it is so nice under the covers in the morning that I don't want to get out of bed and into the colder air of the room.If you like your electric blanket to get 'hot' this blanket probably isn't for you, and sometimes when my feet are really cold I wish the blanket warmed up more than the gentle heat it provides because it can take longer for my feet to warm up at night. Putting the blanket on high before bed does warm the bed up some, just not to the extent of my previous electric blanket (which was great for cold feet when getting into bed, but not for all night). Overall I much prefer the softer heat that this blanket provides and I am very happy with my purchase. (I liked it enough to give it my first ever review on amazon)

I ordered this one and another of a different style/brand. I received them a day apart, receiving this one first. This one was absolutely lovely and soft.When i received the 2nd one I was all, "oh hail no" because it was as if there was a rope fishing net inside of the blanket and couldn't imagine sleeping with the thing and promptly returned it.THIS blanket, based on another review, I expected it to be extremely loud and crunchy. I disagree.It's more on the thin side, but very soft. Is there a layer of something between the fabric? Yes. But it is definitely NOT loud and obnoxious. For sure extremely tolerable. (I think I have experienced hotel sheets waaaay louder and crunchier than this).I have found, for me, i appreciate this layer of whatever it is, as once i have built up some warmth beneath the blanket... it tends to keep the warmth in so I stay toasty. I go in to my room about 45 minutes before bedtime, turn both sides of the blanket on to about 5-6... and when i get in bed... OMG it feels FANTASTIC. I HAVE figured out, though, that when i get in bed.. i DO need to turn both sides down to 1 or so as, if left turned up higher, i do end up roasting.There are two power controllers and a large power supply. I sort of feel these are a "necessary evil" so to speak. Not sure how you get around that. I recall the same with the blanket I had years ago. Not a deal breaker for me.I appreciate that the wires within the blanket are very non-noticeable. NOTHING like the one that I returned, lol.I find that I am really liking this blanket. It's soft... does the trick and I have no complaints. Will it last forever? Most likely not. I expect it may be a season to season thing, possibly two seasons.Now, everybody is different... this blanket didn't work out for the other person. For ME, this is working out PERFECTLY and would purchase another :) signed... "snug as a bug", finally, lol.

It’s October here in Canada and my house is around 67°, I don’t even have to turn the blanket on ,it’s warm enough. As her matter of fact I have to take it off sometimes because it’s too warm. I have the heating blanket and a top sheet. The blanket is not really thick but it’s still plush and soft. You cannot feel the wires! You have to search for them carefully. I started off by using the blanket at one and it was way too hot because the blanket itself is warm. I have used low a few times when it was really cold and that was perfect. It takes two minutes or less to heat up, you can feel it getting warm within about a minute. I’ll have to wait till winter to actually use the heat, so far off or low is the only temperatures I use and I am not a warm person. I had a thicker blanket on that didn’t keep me as warm as this one. it would have been five star all around if it weren’t for the fact the colour I wanted was $100 more than the beige one, that is just price gouging. All colours should be the same price and if they can sell the beige one for $149 why did I have to pay almost $300 for the Garnet?

I am quite pleased since I have been using this blanket for about a week. The heating dial has a setting for 10 levels but did not find that much difference in the different levels unless the very lowest and and the very highest. This blanket does not get overly hot but rather a comfortable warmth which is fine for me. I do like that the adjustment is a dial format and easy to use plus it does have an off and on button and the setting level light up. These are overall a great improvement over some other electric blankets/throws we have had. The wires are fine and you do not feel them like in some other electric blankets. One of the nicest things about this blanket is the "non slip texture pattern " which allows other bedding items like a sheet or light quilt to lay underneath or on top without the electric blanket causing it constantly "slip off". The blanket itself still has a soft touch of its own. The twin size is a good size since I needed something that could totally cover one person and not feel its too small. We are considering getting another in a larger size for another bed. Highly recommended.

the heat is perfectly gentlethe wires are thin and not noticeable as promisedat first i didn't think 'high' was warm enough, but i get sweaty during the night if wearing too much.preheating on high makes sense.confirming what others have said about the cord being very long, the control being very large, and the labels being very large and prominent.i am using it in a duvet cover (twin size), which i prefer to the synthetic plush texture.it's lightweight enough for me to use under a light feather duvet or weighted blanket. twin size could also work at just the feet on a larger bed if that's where you're cold like me.compared to other reviews, i feel like this was a good choice. it's been about a week or two since it arrived.
