30 min before bedtime and I am out like a light.

I'm used to taking 200mg of Magnesium Glycinate per day for sleep and health via two pills. Two pills of this brand is only 180mg. They claim that their formulation is more readily absorbed so less is needed, but as far as I can tell Magnesium Glycinate is Magnesium Glycinate. From what I've learned, Magnesium Glycinate is better absorbed than some other forms of magnesium, so it should work regardless of brand. That being said, this does seem to be a quality supplement, and I had no digestive issues from it. If its important to you to have a vegan magnesium supplement, this is probably the product for you.

Works

I've tried several different types and forms of magnesium and this one is just as good as any others I've tried, including more expensive supplements. The pills are small and easy to swallow, and don't have any noticeable smell or taste. I take them every night before bed and they do seem to be helping with restful sleep. I haven't noticed any changes or reductions in muscle pain but I didn't have any noticeable pain before I started taking these. Overall I can recommend this supplement for improved restful sleep.

There are neither additional minerals nor vitamins in this formulation. It is easy to swallow, and the bottle is protected by plastic wrap around the cap. There is also a safety seal at the mouth of the bottle.What to like about this brand’s formulation:- Vegan-Friendly- Gluten-Free- Non-GMO- Made in the USA- No toxic fillers, flow, or anti-caking agent (e.g., Magnesium Stearate, Silicon Dioxide)What not to like:- Suggested use is 1 capsule per day. A capsule contains only 90 mg of Magnesium which is just 21% of the RDA. In my case, I need at least 420 mg which is 4.67 capsules or say just 4 capsules per day.As of July 25, 2023, a bottle cost $32.99. For 4 capsules per serving, it cost me $0.7331 daily to add these capsules to my daily regimen. Pricey but hey! - It is chelated and has no toxic stearate or silica.

I have used a magnesium supplement for years at bedtime to help me with sleep. While there are cheaper magnesiums out there, lots of them are NOT well absorbed, such as magnesium oxide.Chelated magnesiums are much better absorbed, and this product is a good example. This bottle contains 180 capsules of magnesium glycinate, providing 100 mg of pure magnesium per capsule. I typically only need 1 or 2 at bedtime so this bottle will likely last me about 4-5 months.As far as quality of the product, I appreciate that this is made in USA, where there are high standards for manufacturers who are GMP certified, which this company is. With this certification, I know I am actually getting what is stated on the label. Good manufacturing practice (GMP) is a system for ensuring that products are consistently produced and controlled according to quality standards. For me, the somewhat higher price on this product is worth it, since you are getting top quality.I hope it works for you as well as it has worked for me!

I've been using different forms of magnesium glycinate for 6 months or so and have found that it helps with sleep. It doesn't have a sedative effect per se - or if it does it's very mild. What it does do is improve the duration and quality of sleep. This product is quite similar in effect to the others I've tried, and if you open the capsules, it has the same sweet-and-then-horrific flavor.It's unclear what "Albion" is. Several competing products are labeled as "Albion". This might be the formulation with the addition of magnesium oxide which might act as a buffer against stomach acids, I assume to protect the glycine from being stripped from the magnesium. Some other product use oil encapsulation for similar effect.I would recommend this. It's a competent and effective product. The price is about average, though it's hard to compare against formulations.

I take a Magnesium supplement on a daily basis, so when I saw this supplement offered through Vine I decided to give it a try.However, I should have slowed down a bit and paid full attention to the ingredients listed on the product page because I cannot and do not use products containing rice hulls, rice bran extract, and sunflower oil, all of which are listed as ingredients of this product.The product arrived intact with a plastic ring/seal around the lid, as well as a safety seal under the lid.The capsules are rather large! Far larger than my usual Magnesium supplement.The directions state to take 1 capsule daily.Overall, and for many people, this product would be quite suitable, but I cannot use it due to the listed ingredients. Also, the size of the capsule would likely pose a problem for me. My husband is taking these and has no issue, but if your like me and have difficulty swallowing supplements, this product may not be for you.4 stars
