Few sandals these days have a clip-style buckle if they have a buckle at all. Rather they rely solely on Velcro, which will wear out and you often don't get the fit set right the first time.With the buckle, you can futz around to get the perfect fit when you get the sandals and then be assured each time you clip in the fit will be perfectly adjusted. And the buckle will hopefully outlast the sandals -- at least that's been the case for me with other sandals.These are comfortable and the size was accurate. After wearing them all day long for several weeks, I never got any 'sore' spots.In short, a well designed, made and executed product with good grip.

I like them. Describes a little bit difficult to manipulate but they are comfortable.

Arch is good fairly high and across to lateral area. So, might be good for supination as well as pronation. Does not have a metatarsal support; leaves a pressure under the ball of the foot where the front strap goes and leaves the toes somewhat hanging. Sole is slippery on glossy hard flooring in high humidity, possibly too hard a rubber but longer wearing on rough surfaces. Synthetic footbed has a subtle texture. Has clips on the outside of the main strap. It's a bit taller than other sandals, so might be more prone to an ankle twist. Unique find for the right foot and usage.

I've been wearing these for 10 weeks in Thailand so far, and they're the best sandals i've ever worn, and despite lots of hiking and action, no signs of any wear yet. I tried several brands before settling on these, and Tevas are extremely uncomfortable! Columbia used to be my favorite, but these are awkward with the straps, and my feet never felt centered over the soles! There's just no comparison. im NOT a paid reviewer. This brand also seems to be quite flexible in terms of size. i bought a 2nd pair in size 12, to try them side by side with the 11's, and they both fit great, so im keeping both; and for the price, its a no-brainer.

Well I gave them 5 stars because I am generally very happy with them. But there is room for improvement. I pretty much wear sandals year round (even in Seattle) because my feet are always hot. I hate sandals that use velcro for the closure because the velcro wears out long before the sandals. But it is very difficult to find sandals with a buckle closure, which these have.These are VERY comfortable and seem very solid. I expect they will last a very long time.What could be better is the installation of the buckles. They have it backwards so it can be a bit difficult to get them clipped. Had they installed them the other way around, they would be much easier to clip. But that is my only complaint. I would certainly buy them again.

Sizeing is correct, for me #9/42, good arch, lots of cushion, good traction.

I like the snap buckle and they are hard to find on sandals. I had a pair of Skechers a few years back with a buckle like this, but I think they quit making them. I liked them and the buckle on the Skechers was on the arch side of the foot. These are on the outside of the foot which is less convenient, but still more convenient than just the Velcro straps.
