Laundry Additive for Odor Removal, Liquid, 30 Loads | Remove Smoke, Chemical, Pet Odors From Linens, Towels, Clothing | Non-Toxic, Fragrance-Free

I rescued some fantastic vintage wool items that had been stored for more than a decade in a teak trunk with literally dozens of BOXES of mothballs. After hanging them outside all summer several were still too smelly (and presumably toxic) to wear. I had my doubts that any laundry additive would help. I soaked the first garment for several days in a couple of gallons of water with probably a cup of OdorKlenz (agitating it occasionally), drained it all really well (still smelling so awful that I got in trouble for poisoning the bathroom), and then threw it in the laundry by itself with regular detergent and a half cup more OdorKlenz. I ran it in warm water even though it was wool, figuring it was ruined if the scent didn't come out anyway. After a roll in the dryer with no heat and a day of lying flat to dry, I stuck my nose in the wool and was surprised to find it didn't smell AT ALL. It will be well worth the modest cost to rescue these fabulous items, which obviously had no moth damage... just lingering migraine-inducing chemicals. Will buy again!

My husband became incontinent and in spite of wearing absorbent disposable underwear, a lot of urine soaked into his clothes. Washing in hot water and detergent did not remove the odor. I was at my wits end. I was on the verge of throwing away his clothes. I bought this and washed everything that had urine/ammonia smell. I used 1/2 cup in all the loads, Some garments required 3 washings, but I don't have to throw any of his clothes away. This stuff works!

The washer in the house that we're renting was so scented that my clothes picked up the scent even though were were using a detergent that is fragrance free. While the scent in the clothing was minimal, it was enough to bother my allergies. This product was was able to eliminate the fragrance when I re-washed the clothing in a fragrance-free machine. I don't know how it would work for clothes that had intentionally been washed in a detergent with fragrance or with scented dryer sheets.

I’ve never gotten a message attachment within the Amazon app about the product before. The seller included a helpful “best use” instruction guide that was very helpful! My husband has horrible allergies to scents, formaldehyde in fabrics, etc, and Odorklenz has been really helpful in preparing new clothing for his use! Thanks!

This does take the odor out of clothes. Easy to use.

I purchased this product to get the strong scent of other laundry detergents out of our daughter’s laundry. Her washer and dryer both broke down within a week of each other and her new ones were scheduled for delivery in 3 weeks so I offered my laundry room to her. I use Seventh Generation unscented laundry soap. I think my daughter use(d) Tide or Gain….or whatever was on sale. The odor was unbelievable and to me unbearable. So I ordered this and it arrived quickly. I used it on the heavy duty setting and the clothes came out smelling the same. I have a front loader and so can’t soak a load of laundry like when I had a top loading washing machine…maybe that makes a difference. I will use this jug up but so far I’m not experiencing any improvement in getting the smell out from her laundry detergent that’s embedded in all the clothes, sheets, towels, etc. if anyone has any tips or hints on how this may work better in a front loading washer, I’d love to hear!

I had to replace my washer because of the mold/mildew smell left on clothing and I couldn't clean the old washer enough. I found this and thought I wouldn't have to buy all new clothes! Well, that is NOT the case! I used the entire bottom and rewashed my clothes with it numerous times because I thought maybe that would work. It didn't seem to do much if anything at all. What I actually noticed is that all of my bras and tank tops had more of a mildew smell to them after I used this to wash them about 3 or 4 times! So I ordered new everything and this was a big waste of time and money! So sad

Excellent product - truly does eliminate odors in your laundry. I use it most on towels and gym clothes and have noticed that they don't have any lingering smells after you use the product. I will say, however, that if you like to use scent beads or scented fabric softener, you won't smell that either so don't waste it when you use the OdorKlenz. I used the OdorKlenz, Gain detergent and Gain scent beads and the laundry came out smelling like absolutely nothing. This is great, because the product does what it is supposed to - just don't waste the beads when you use the other product :)

For urine soaked clothes And feces. Takes the odours out of your clothing. It did work very well
