I am so excited about this product. I speak several languages fluently, but Spanish is not one of them. My husband and I are planning a trip so we decided to get the TT to make our trip a little smoother. I could not be more please. It is extremely simple to use. Key takeaways, you absolutely need a smart phone to fully use this gadget, and you need your own usb charger block. The package only included the charging cable. Aside from that, everything is perfect. So easy, my 6-year old could use it. There are many languages AND dialects to choose from which I found really impressive. You can do single mode if you want to have a one-way (think asking for coffee or where the bathroom is). You can also have a 2-way convo. What you say will translate out, and then what the other person says will be translated back into your language of choice. Great product, better than I had even hoped!!

This product does delivery accurate 2 way translation of short and well enunciated sentences. Unfortunately it must use an app to run and must be connected via Bluetooth to the app in your mobile device, and it is a disaster. It does work -- but then, at least for my iPhone 8, it locks the Bluetooth even when the TT Translator device is turned off. You cannot stop the app from accessing your Bluetooth even when it is off unless you turn off the phone. I turned the TT Translator device off and then got in my car and it froze the Bluetooth in my car so that I could not access anything, such as cell phone calls, until I actually rebooted my iPhone. I returned the TT Translator Device to the seller.

I bought this for my daughter as a Christmas gift and we were not able to get it to work. The message kept saying "Can't hear you" so we had to return it.

Loved how easy it is to use. Dont have to speak super clear for it to understand you which is great not repeating yourself over and over again. Translation is on point and message gets accross clear. Even has an app for it and it also gives you the translation in text to know how to write what you just said. I think overall great for daily use and for the price.

I picked this up for the in-laws who don't speak English - every now and then there are times that they need help out on their own, and this is definitely more straightforward than fielding phone calls. I've played around with it myself, and for everyday questions and basic tourist-questions it's performed admirably well.You do have to speak fairly clearly and have an active internet connection for it to work, but as long as you're not expecting to, say, hold a business meeting or engage in philosophical discourse my experience has been that it doesn't get tripped up too much (when it does it's mostly due to lack of annunciation or speaking with a dialect or strong accent), and if both parties are paying attention to the text it's easy to point out when it happens to avoid any undue misunderstanding.All in all a handy go-to for anywhere you've got data coverage.

I Liked the two way communication and how you could use your phone, however the app that you use with it is awful and requires full internet access and does not always work.
