William Morris: Giant Artist's Colouring Book (Multilingual Edition) (Giant Artists' Colouring Books) (English, Spanish, French, Italian and German Edition) Paperback – June 15, 2016

This book has 12 very beautiful William Morris designs. There are 2 copies of each design for a total of 24 pages. I love when there are duplicate designs because it gives me a chance to try different color schemes, different shading techniques and different coloring mediums.There is a lot of detail in each design and the lines are drawn in a light color instead of black.The book is really well made. The paper feels like a nice cardstock. I'm using Staedtler markers and there is no bleed-through. The pages are held in with a kind of rubber cement binding so they're easy to remove. Also the back "page" of the book is a really thick, hard cardboard (1/8 inch thick!) which can serve as a drawing surface.

I am blown away by this coloring book. The size truly is "giant" and the paper quality is outstanding. The designs are beautiful and detailed. The outlines are fairly light, which is a refreshing change from more popular market sorts of adult coloring books. I will probably use colored pencils for most of the pages, but watercolors would also work beautifully. I highly recommend this to any colorists and artists who enjoy detailed designs and who enjoy the work of William Morris.

Gorgeous book! Amazing quality paper. This book is the most detailed coloring book I have ever seen. So, if you're not a detailed person, this is not for you. I love William Morris. This is the best coloring book of his work that I have seen.

My favorite thing about this book is the paper. It is think enough for me to paint on it without the paper curling.

This thing is a disaster! The designs are tiny and hard to see. What are you supposed to color them with? Why didn't they make them the actual scale of the prints? Very disappointed.

Lovely book, beautiful paper but too grainy for use with pencils. Details too small to work round with any degree of accuracy. Had to use a magnifying glass too see some of the pattern. Ended up photocopying original, design, enlarging it, printing it on reverse. Now looking forward too colouring and painting without eye-strain.

Not for the faint hearted, these are big and some very complex. But very rewarding indeed - the process is sheer relaxation through utter focus.Found myself completely absorbed, each one will be a masterpiece. Eventually!

This book is very very detailed, with very small coloring areas and sections requiring a very fine tip coloring media. The paper is water color heavy paper, and as such, does not render well with softer core pencil crayons. The images are drawn in very faint lines which almost disappear when you color. There are 24 images to color, but you are given 2 of each design, so in reality there are only 12 different images.

Oh the Paper! it is nice and thick but I'm not sure if watercolours or other paints will work on this paper. You definitely need a very sharp pencil to colour in the drawings as some of them are very finely detailed. But felt pens work great, if they have a sharp point.

B. wirklich gut für Aquarellfarben geeignet sind, deshalb war ich umso mehr begeistert, dass ich nun eins gefunden habe.
