Fresh Thai Peppercorn (100g)

Really hard to buy these in shops. This product was in great condition and as I couldn’t use them all I froze them in a little water in a freezer bag. I expected them to turn black after freezing but to my surprise they stayed green. They add a fantastic flavour to a Thai curry. I just pop the frozen ones straight in the curry and cook it through, they stay green and taste great. They did take a while to arrive but worth the wait.

My first order many moons ago, well black pepper corns arrived. The last two orders, perfectly lovely green peppercorns. Fantastic. Given they’re impossible to get from a local shop of any kind where I live, glad that I can order from Thai Supermarket. Freeze excess in little tubs with water. Last for months and months.

I normally live in SE Asia so buy these regularly from regional wet markets. I wondered about freshness in the UK since they presumably sourced from Asia and then UK delivery is more than 24hrs. As suspected more than half were black (rather than green) and the only way to save them was to immerse in olive oil, albeit for a completely different flavour

The items arrived fresh and added nice flavours to my Thai Green Curry.

It is very difficult to find fresh green peppercorn, no supermarkets or small grocers seem to have them. This product arrived well packed and fresh, once I have used them I am certainly going to order some more.
