I loved this book! 🥰
🌶️🌶️Weston Rhodes Ryder. These Ryder men, man. I loved Wes. He was so soft and sweet and so loveable. He cares so much about everyone else. I loved watching him open up to Ada and find someone who really took care of him. He definitely proved himself in this book with the guest ranch house and he proved to Ada that she was deserving of love, his love. I also loved the depression representation from him. He was just so swoony and wonderful!Ada. Oh my goodness I loved her too. She was jaded and cynical but so very relatable. I feel like I'm a lot like Ada in certain ways. Underneath her mask once you got to know her she was also sweet, caring, passionate and honestly delicate even if she pretended not to be. I just really loved her and watching her grow into herself and the Ryder family was so special.I loved their relationship. They are so cute together and the perfect balance for each other. Their banter was perfect and hilarious. The way he made her feel safe, loved and seen always. He let her be who she is and never made her choose her career or him. Ada made Wes also feel seen and like he had a purpose. She was always there for him and helped him in any way she could.I CANNOT wait for Gus and Teddy's book!

Emotional and sexy
🐄🐄🐄🐄/5I absolutely devoured this book and so yet again I’m in my cowboy romance era!I loved this book, just like the last one by @authorlylasage and so I’m starting think she can do no wrong, only greatness!!This book between Wes and Ada was a bit more emotional for me. And their chemistry was astronomically off the charts from the second their eyes first met. And I was sitting on the edge of my seat the entire time until they got their HEAs.Wes was perfect! He’s a gentleman but kind and sensitive. As far as book boyfriends go, he’s one of the very best. He’s a cinematic masterpiece, a total cinnamon roll, and grew up in such a big and loving family…and he’s the polar opposite to Ada.Ada comes from a place where she’s still healing from a tragic divorce. She’s introverted and hesitant to let anyone in. She’s heartbroken and doesn’t even know how much she needed someone else to come into her life and make her whole again, to breathe life back into her. And Wes was the perfect person for that.I loved how emotionally deep this one was on top of being sweet and sexy. I enjoyed the meddling of Amos Ryder and I will never get over him and this family. So I’m willing to travel to Rebel Blue literally every day of my life.If you like cowboys, found family, strong communication and healthy representations of relationships, dual pov, opposites attract, emotional backstories, small town, mental health rep, golden retriever/black cat energy, and slow burn romance then this is the next book to add to your TBR!

very sweet
(minimum spoilers ahead) This was a very cozy cowboy romance. I loved that it included male mental health struggles because I feel like so often mmc in romance novels don’t talk about mental health. I was alittle disappointed with Ada’s backstory. I felt like she told us about her ex husband and he randomly called once but that was it. I would have loved to see her talk more about their relationship or to see the ex husband come to get closure on that relationship. But it was still a very cute story and I can’t wait for the next one!

Get your hands on this stellar sequel!
“Swift and Saddled” follows Ada Hart, a city girl who refuses to be saddled by a man, not after the disaster that was her short-lived marriage. When Ada arrives in Meadowlark to be the interior designer for one of the largest ranches in Wyoming, she can’t seem to shake the eyes of a handsome cowboy in the local dive bar...except he turns out to be her boss—Weston Ryder. Can they make it through this project without giving in? Or will they both put their dreams on the line for a chance at love?I love “Done and Dusted,” but what I feel for this book is on a whole other level! It absolutely blew me away. The mental health representation in “Swift and Saddled” is fantastic. As someone with major depressive disorder, I really resonated with Wes as a character. I enjoyed reading chapters from his perspective and connected to his fears surrounding his mental health. He is so open about how his depression ebbs and flows and I understood him on a deep level, which I feel doesn’t happen very often with male characters. He is definitely a golden retriever personified and I adore the way he respects Ada’s boundaries, champions her dreams, and loves her for who she is. Weston Ryder IS the blueprint!!Ada and her “black cat” personality have a special place in my heart. I definitely related to her struggle to feel a sense of belonging. Nothing made me more emotional than when she shared how her loneliness stemmed from this perception that her true self wouldn’t be well received by other people. Watching her then find her place at Rebel Blue Ranch and form meaningful friendships with Emmy, Teddy, and Camille was everything!Ada and Wes’ chemistry is electric from the get-go. I absolutely loved their dynamic! I feel like I’ve read so many books where the MMC has the more cynical characterization, so the role reversal was a breath fresh air. This book captures more of the Ryder siblings’ close knit relationship and I could not get enough! The way they show up for each other made my heart melt.Sage does such a great job interrelating her standalones. Past couples make appearances while she subtly plants the seeds for new ones. She does all of this without taking away from Ada and Wes’ story. I cannot wait for Geddy’s time to shine!

Absolutely Stunning!
Done and dusted was my gateway into cowboy romance. I don’t like country anything. But you best believe I am absolutely feral over these books.Swift and saddled did not disappoint. Ada and Wes were absolute perfection. This book had:⁃ city girl x country boy⁃ He fell first⁃ Hot cowboys- duh.⁃ Black cat X golden retriever jLyla Sage has very quickly become a must read author, her books are absolute perfection down to the cover art (I mean look at it! It’s stunning).Ada’s character is hugely relatable and honestly so is Wes. I loved the mental health representation here- I always love seeing it in books.I have to commend the writing because this book had me kicking my feet and laughing out loud. Wes is an absolute gem and really dropped those swoony one liners on us. Meadowlark has very quickly become another home for me and I am not so patiently awaiting the next book :)

BEAUTIFUL!
I love a good red-flag MMC, but there’s something very special when you have the greenest green-flag MMC in a book. And that’s Wes Ryder. The need for consent, the worry, the care… THE SKETCHES! 🖤 I freaking love Wes Ryder. And I love Ada just as much.Their struggles with mental health felt real. Ada’s struggling with being liked and Wes’ depression were things that I had (and still have) personal experience with and they touched me deeply. It’s a beautiful book with a beautiful story and I cannot recommend it enough!

In my cowboy romance era <3
RECENSIONE IN ITALIANO SOTTOI deeply thank the publisher for the chance to discover this series and read this book in advance.Swift and Saddled is a lovely and heartwarming story for everyone who enjoys slow paced and cowboy/small town romance. I adored how the two main characters relate to each other without rush, and how Ada gradually became part of the family without it seeming forced by the plot. Plus, the "renovation" part of the house was well integrated in the story, and I liked it a lot. Nothing was left to chance even if they're small details.I think one of the most strong elements of these romances remains the setting. It always trasmits a calm and steady atmosphere, that totally relaxed me, even when there were some serious elements to discuss (and talking about them, I think Lyla has the delicateness to deeper those themes more, If she'd want to). That said, I'm so ready for the next two books, because we have very steamy and interesting premises!

A calf saving Cowboy
4.25⭐️I really enjoyed the first half of this book, and flew through it. Definitely a very easy read, not too much conflict or drama, more about the character development and the importance of the setting. I like a bit more conflict in my books it seemed a bit easy towards the end and I would have love to have known why Ada’s ex was calling her?! Wes was a big lump of a golden retriever and his unwavering support and love for Ada was perfect. Ada had major trust issues which she was able to work on not just with Wes but with the whole Rebel Blue gang. The family and found family vibes are strong in this book and I love that!! All my favourite scenes had Wes in them, I connected the most with his character even though I think Ada had better character development. I adore any storyline to do with fixing up a building and the fact that Ada and Wes bonded so much over bringing Wes’ dream for a guest ranch to life was the icing on the cake.
