Sturdy, Inexpensive, Simple
I like this basket. It's not anything more than an attachable shopping basket. Just hang it on the handle bars. No bells and whistles. A good size and it's strong. I think you could put a car battery in it np. Basically that's all.Cons -There is a thing about it I did not like. It will fit only 1" bars. If your bars are thick at the gooseneck, this basket won't go on. You'd have to try to bend the loops. Not easy, so I give the basket to a friend. The paint can scratch off, it's not powdercoat or rubberized, so it and your bike will get scratched. You might use a short bungee cord to keep it from swinging forward. It will bounce around since it's not actually connected to anything, just hanging. But overall, the basket is a great value. It could outlast several bikes.

**ADORABLE AND FUNCTIONAL**
This basket is great as an ornamental container. It can be hung on walls and in my case, an old bike. I plan on ordering more so I can place them around the backyard...very cute!!

It's a good base for modifications
This basket seems kinda useless on its own since it doesn't come with any parts to truly secure it to a bike, BUT it worked well as a project base to make a half-woven basket I'd seen elsewhere. I used a bolt cutter to remove the hinged handle and those silly hooks, then a rasp to file the nubs down, then black acrylic outdoor paint to cover the exposed steel. I used synthetic wicker that matched my bike's accent color to weave around the bottom, then wrapped the sharp ends of the wicker with foam weather stripping and black upholstery thread. Then I secured the basket to my front rack with black outdoor-rated zip ties. This basket is the perfect size for my purse and looks great with my bike.

Durable
Stays on well and is durable. We put our hydro flasks in it and it holds up well.

Beach bike 🚲
Fits great on the front of my beach cruiser. Has ample storage and does not get in the way of the wheel. I can actually take my small dog to the beach with me now. I would recommend this item, easily detached and reattached when needed.
