Yes it’s dusty but all soil is! Get past the dusty and open it outside and it will be the best carnivorous plant soil you can buy pre made. Great for your very first start into the carnivorous plants!

No it did not. The package indicates that the mixture is for carnivorous plants, including Venus Fly Traps. However, the soil mixture contains high concentrations of "nutrients" which are detrimental to most carnivorous plants. Growing substrate needs to be devoid to all nutrients/fertilizers. If want to use for carnivorous plants then you will need to wash soil materials with distilled water until wash/rinse water has low TDS, 5-50 TDS. I'll use it for other tropical house plants.

Used the product for my venous fly trap. Product came packaged well and was very happy. Will order again!

Upon opening the package, this was very dusty and dry. I could have made the same thing from materials I have on hand. Live and learn.
