Expected better
The set looks nice enough but starts to fall short when you begin using it. One of the steel cable ties broke when trying to undo for the first time. I was attempting to resize a cable and both threaded bolts snapped off. Quality is very questionable as I had issues with screws easily stripping when screwing into wood as well. For the price, I was expecting higher quality. Used my own deck screws instead and have one corner of my 20ft shade being held up by the nylon rope it came with. Also the carabiner clips are tiny. They barely fit the heavy duty metal hoops I got from Home Depot. To me you might as well buy the cheapest version of this kit, probably the same stuff. The items to hang with are working (minus the piece that failed on me), but for how long? And will I be able to undo what’s done to install a new shade a year or 2 from now… not too confident about that one.

Good kit that includes what you need for a sun shade
This is a nice little kit that includes everything you should need to install you sun shade/sail. The ratchet pieces are not stainless but rather look to be maybe galvanized which is fine as long as they don't rust. If you went and bought everything here separate it would most likely cost you more so it's a pretty good deal. Overall it's a good package kit that will keep you from searching for the parts separately which is awesome.

Great
Good set all together but I just don't like the "rope clamps" they are just difficult to use and generally do not hold well, I replaced them with 50 cent saddle clamps so for a few bucks extra I had a very secure connection.

A very complete kit for small to medium applications
This is a very complete kit suitable for hanging a small to medium sized sun shade. As the listing states, the components are versatile enough to be used for other applications like clotheslines, hanging banners and so on.I opted for the 60 piece kit, as I was very interested in the small ratcheting winches. Most of the components in the kit are type 304 Stainless steel, which makes them good for most non-marine applications. Type 304 is not very good in salt water environments, so this kit is not ideal for marine or ocean beach applications, where type 316 Stainless steel is preferred. The two ratcheting winches are made from zinc coated mild steel with (according to the listing) a cast aluminum geared spool. There is a simple spring mechanism that captures the geared teeth of the spool, thereby providing the ratchet functionality. The two winches I received initially did not function properly as the bracket was bent too tight to the spool. I was able to spread the bracket slightly which resolved the problem. The entire spool assembly, including the sprocket, axle and square drive head is cast. It will be interesting to see how the cast parts hold up over time. (I would have preferred a machined gear and spool assembly, however, that is not a realistic expectation at this price point.)The eye-pads and snap-hooks are small, the eye-pads are 2.25" wide and the snap-hooks are about 2" long. The cable provided is about 1/8" diameter. 20 stainless steel screws with plastic expansion plugs are supplied in the kit as well a 4 cable clamps. No paperwork or instructions were provided in the box.Based on the size of the components, this kit seems appropriate for small to medium size sun shades. The ratcheting winches make adjustments faster and easier than using turn-buckles. The winches also have more range than a typical turn-buckle.Bottom-line: This is a very complete kit. The two ratcheting winches make quick work out of tightening a sun-shade, the stainless hooks and anchor pads provide for a professional looking installation, and if properly anchored, should do a good job for appropriately sized shades.

Everything you need
The media could not be loaded. I like that this kit has everything that could possibly be needed for a sun sail in one box. The cable seems durable and strong for a sail that might experience winds. The plastic anchors that come with the kit are not the type of anchors that I would use because they are plastic and small. I plan to get stronger larger diameter anchors.

Sturdy material with options.
I live in Arizona and use several shade sails around the property. This kits gives several options to install a new shade sail or repair an existing sail. The only material i'm not 100% sold on or the carabiners, they don't seem as heavy duty as the rest of the kit. I used the cable and a cable attachment to secure one side of a 4 rectangle square sail and it withstood a little monsoon storm no problems. Great options.

great to complete your sail install
This is a great kit for the sail shades that don’t come with the hardware.Comes with 4 double rope clamps, 6 snap hooks / carabiner hooks, 4 pad eyes, 4 Steel wire ropes 16 expansion bolts and 16 Philips Head Helical Spiral Thread Screws. However, it only comes with 2 Adjustable turnbuckles…. Most Shade Sails are at least 3 sided (triangle) or rectangle, or square, so they should've included at least 3 . Screws and anchors are long enough to attach to solid surfaces. A handy little package.

Great set lots of options
This is a great set, I needed the wires and not many sets had them. This is for sun shade sail. I do wish it had one more turnbuckle, so I have one on each corner of triangle sail. But I guess you don’t have to use on all corners. So I’ll use carabiners then tighten ends with turnbuckles. It does have 6 carabiners. There’s lots of options with this set. Turnbuckles work well, carabiners are tight. Note that the turnbuckles have eye end so you can’t just hook on to eye patch, you have to use 2 carabiners to attach to sail. Or you can thread wire through eye and secure then you’d only need to use one carabiner.
