I do alterations and jeans hems are the most common request. Matching the color has always been difficult and to make the thread look thick enough I had to thread the machine with double thread. This is the right thickness, goes through the machine smoothly and the selection of colors should work with most items I get in. The one color that isn’t in either grouping is “Levi gold” but there is a greenish gold in the lighter group that works. I just altered the waist of two pairs, one with the gold and one mauve. I have a leather studio and have been designing items that heavy gauge thread is just too bulky, I have tried other threads and they splinter and fray, thius thread is really strong and will definitely use it for my items, it will def hold stitch tight and my products suffer abuse from daily activities. very easy to use , I was skeptical of the light gauge it appears to be but it is awesome , will not use any other thread for my products requiring fine stitch areas. thank you for such a great thread !! I'm a guy not a chauvinist but I can't help but be excited IU found good stitching when battling with other inadequate threads!!! and they come on heavy duty spools that do not get the thread tangled , Great Job !!

This thread seems to be tough and strong, but it is so curly/springy that it is very difficult to work with. It immediately begins unraveling off the bobbing after being wound. Rather than laying flat, when no tension is applied (through the needle but not the cloth) it springs into curls and becomes unthreaded from the needle.The colors are really nice.

I needed an extra strong thread to hand-sew the bottom on my bag I made so I ordered this thread on-line. I had to find a thread that would stand up to the wear this suitcase bottom would need. Let me tell you folks, it is fantastic. It did not break once even after having to go through two layers of heavy duty stabilizer and my bag binding. But let me tell you the thing I liked best of all about this thread - not once did it tangle or knot up like regular thread does. I was just amazed at how fast I could sew my bottom on because I wasn't stopping every 2-3 minutes to untangle or get out a knot. I loved the first set of thread I ordered so much that I ordered another set in different colors and am still looking for other sets. Folks, you won't go wrong. Buy this thread!!

I bought this for hand sewing, not machine sewing. I love that it is fine and strong enough to use a single thickness, as doubled thread is far more prone to knotting and has to be rethreaded twice as often. However, "internally bonded" thread should not fray and separate into it's plies when you cut it, and this does, badly. That makes threading the needle without a threader nearly impossible. Name brands like COats and Clark do not do that. At the same time I bought this big spool of black Mandala brand upholstery thread, and it does NOT separate when cut. i got tired of regular thread breaking so easily. this thread met the challenge and did not rip apart!

I like the quality of the thread but there was less on a spool than expected.

I used this as top stitching thread for a pair of rust colored twill pants. Once I was done I washed them in cold water and the top stitch tread faded to totally white. Very, very disappointing.
