How To Get A Job In Grand Prix Racing: The startline for a career in motorsport

Will expand on this later once i'm on a better condition myself, but this book is nothing short of a masterpiece to almost complpetely learn and understand how to get a career in GP racing. Bought it both digitally and (years later) physically too. It actually gets delivered for my birthday, which makes it even better.

Working in motorsport myself and wishing to get into F1 some time in the future I was very excited about Richard's book. I already followed the blog, but the book promised to present more information and a structured form. Put short, Richard delivered well beyond expectations. The book offers tremendous help, especially for those who only start to think about getting a career in motorsport or are even still in school. It's important that the book is not a manual, but a guideline - it gives a method, but how to use it is up to the reader and every path will be different.What struck me the most is how Richard captured and put into words the essence of mentality that drives all the people who work in motorsport. When I read examples that he gives felt very moved, because I could feel that even on my level (national single-seaters in Russia) the situations and the attitude are very much the same as in the highest echelons of motorsport. This lifestyle is certainly not for everyone, but those who like it relish in it.To sum up, thank you Richard and I strongly recommend this book to anyone who seeks a motorsport career.P. S. A little feedback - the book contains some editorial mistakes (like typos). Moreover, the author sometimes repeats the same idea several times in the book. I get that these ideas are important, but I hope the readers can grasp them when they first read them.

If you are planning to get a job in F1, or any form of motorsports, this is a must read. It tells you what you need to do to get noticed by teams, and I learned a lot from it.

If you are a person who wants a job in Formula 1, you might have noticed there is very little information and instruction on what to do, and tips for success. I was delighted when I encountered this book because it was the first 'job' book about f1. This book provides so much information and insider tips on how to get in the industry, what kind of jobs there are, etc. MUST READ!!!

It's good, but you will not learn a lot of new things.

fantastic book, absolutely to read for those interested in a career in the world of F1, from several very important ideas to be grasped in order to reach your goal, an easy to read and very motivational book.

I only wish I had bought this book earlier. This is must read for anyone who is planning for a career in motorsports. The author explains the hiring mindset of motorsports team, gives a brief explanation on the qualifications required for each department which if picked up and grasped well will take you to where you want to be.

This is a good reference guide to know about the happenings of f1 Motorsports. I found it useful but in most places the contents or subject is repeated

I bought this book as my son is interested in a career in F1. This is an excellent book from a highly credible source. Unlike other books (of a similar name) I have read on the subject, Richard knows his stuff after a long career in the world's most exhilarating sport. The book emphasises the fact that there is no short cut to success and that hard work and perseverance are key. Richard sets out practical steps to follow your dreams though and offers valuable tips. Buy this book!
