Hi, I would say it won’t work as it doesn’t work on our brown matt tiles, I just stick it to the bath wall from outside bath, it does fall down occasionally but at least it stays on.

Q: Do you have to use the adhesive disc or can you just use suction to hold it up?

We don’t use the adhesive disk, it’s just suctioned onto our shower screen as we have textured tiles. Never falls off!
