For your VW Taos!
As always, check the model and year of your vehicle to ensure a proper fit. This hitch was designed to safely carry the weight of my two electric bicycles fastened to a heavy duty cradle style rack mounted to the rear of my 2024 Taos. Volkswagen dealerships in my area do not offer hitch installation for the Taos even though VW manufactures the frame with the 4 holes needed. No drilling! This is a more robust hitch than the Curt Mfg version and therefore requires the removal of the rear bumper facia (I had my local body shop do that work for me). I’ve been very pleased with the fit and finish.

Not worth it
Didn't for my car. Sent it back 3 weeks ago and still no refund. Poor experience don't recommend at all.

Very handy to have!!
Installed on my 2024 VW Taos, so I could use my Bicycle rack and transport my MTB's to races and take them on trips.Installation is quite simple, if you are handy with tools. I think the hardest part is locating and marking to cut the plastic on the rear bumper.Not sure yet, but might install a rear lights harness, if some day I have to tow a small trailer or use hitch luggage carrier that obstructs the car's lights and you have to plug it, to use the carrier's rear lights.

Follow Your Gut On Install
Between Jayme Griffin’s’ review and watching two different etrailer’s Curt Class III Trailer Hitch Installation on YouTube (I mostly followed the grey Taos one) installation was easy. I only removed four screws as Taos body types are different. It took me and one part time helper about 90 minutes. The hitch fit is snug and secure.No bumper removal!!
