Ideally used on a window seat, lead bit is quite short
Just as shown on the listing, I had an update on the computer and the past few days some of the photos/videos from my phone won't load ... 70cm is only 28" if you have a tall dog they might struggle to sit up with this on. Think about that before you buy it. The hooks have a rotation to them which should mean that as the dog moves the hook part will swivel. I still think that given that the rope part is basically twisted metal coated in plastic you have to have a dog that is a good traveller in the car in order to use this. I think the harness type is a lot safer.Happy to recommend, but you will need to think about your own dog and their behaviour in the car before you consider using it. Good travellers, yes. Poor travellers get a harness and have someone sit in with them and work on increasing the journey times etc before you consider this.

Belt up
Now a legal requirement if you’re taking your dogs in the back (or front!) seat of the car. These cables are super strong and appear well made. One end has a clip for the collar and the other end has a clip for the seatbelt and another lead clip. At 70cm, it’s not too long so best suited to a smaller or medium sized dog. My lurcher struggled to get comfy and was fidgeting and this did restrict his mobility.

Solved a problem
I have tried numerous ways to keep my dogs safe in the car, and some things I tried were positively dangerous as my dogs would manage to get tangled up and on one occasion one of my dogs was nearly strangled. So I then put them in the back of the SUV with a dog guard, which is okay for my younger dog, but my elderly dog just couldn't get into the back of the car anymore. So along came these seatbelt cable ropes, and they are perfect. you just slot one end into where the seatbelt goes, and clip the other end onto the dogs collar. The are long enough so my dog can look out of the window, but not too long, so she isn't trying to get onto the front seats.Problem solved - My dog is safe, I'm complying with the law, so it's happy all round

heavy duty cable straps
These feel very strong and durable both the cable and attachments. They can be used for various reasons - to attach to a pet's harness and fasten to the seatbelt buckle or the carrier, to attach a pet car carrier/seat and secure it or as part of a lead for dogs with chewing issues. One end has only a hook closure and the other has a hook and a seatbelt buckle insert so you can customise it to your needs. The only disadvantage is that the length can't be adjusted but it's very obvious that that's the case in the listing before buying this product so I won't reduce the rating because of it. Very good product for the price for both convenience and safety.

Strong and practical dog seatbelt
These are great for the car and have been a real boon when walking the dogs with the pushchair. We have 2 furry friends Harry & Hugo and transporting them in the car the seatbelts have been great. What I hadn’t thought about was how we would be able to make use of these when out and about with the pushchair. Because they have a clip at each end my partner started attaching the 2 Hs to the pushchair using the clips meaning there’s no need to unclip the leads and because they can attach much lower down the pushchair frame and not on the handle it feels much sturdier and less like the little tikes are going to topple the pushchair. Just brilliant! Cannot recommend highly enough!

Very secure
The Fiyade Dog Car Seat Belts are essentially lengths of coated wire that can be clipped into seat belt sockets, or attached via the sprung clips.I was interested in giving them a try as our dog has outgrown the dog car seat we have and these seemed like an ideal solution. We currently have these attached to the headrest using a sprung clip, as the dog is still excitable in the car having the connection point above the dog limits its movement. If you have a dog that likes to lay down on the seat, then the Fiyade Dog Car Seat Belts can clip straight into the car seatbelt. All in all, the metal construction is extremely robust, with plastic coatings protecting your car from metal contact. Very happy with them.

Very good
We've recently rehomed a young patterjack terrier and she has a bad habit of chewing through her leads if she's bored, which she did when we first took her out in the car so I got these. Very easy to use, we clip them onto rings in the back of our suv but you can also fit them to the seatbelt. She tried chewing through it at first but very soon gave up and we've had no problems since and they seem well made and durable at a reasonable price.

Strong, chew proof car harness
The media could not be loaded. These are perfect for the car!!It’s a hefty fine if you don’t tether your dog in the car, so these are perfect to protect you and your dog. They are made from strong cables encased in plastic. The ends are protected with plastic covers as well.I love the fact one end has a clip and seat belt connector, so they can be used in a boot with tether points or on the back seat with seatbelt plugs. So they’re useful for any situation!Pack comes with two tethers which is great for my car and my partners car.Cost is really low as well so they’re great value.

Important safety harness
I have gotten a puppy! I need dog car seat belt and thought I would get this. Peace of mind for myself and keeping puppy safe. I didn't realise there was two, so that was a pleasant surprise. Easy to use, light weight and easy to attach to the car buckle. The way it is made protects it from being chewed and can be used on a lead as well. Highly recommended

Dog seat belt harness
Pack of two, they are very strong as they have wire rope going through them, which will prevent it being chewed through. It has a clip that goes into the seat belt fixing and a normal dog lead fixing that connects to the dogs collar. Very handy having two so you can use them in two cars or with two dogs.

Good but very heavy
These would suit *any* dog. They are made of quite thick wire and solid steel but they are seriously heavy so you probably need a spaniel sized dog or bigger. It would be too much for a small toy dog.

Legal requirement
Ideal to attach to my puppy’s harness. Strong cable and won’t be able to chew. Having a clasp at both end means multiple ways to secure in vehicle as well as using seatbelt clip

The dog car seat belt works well with our dog, she goes to sleep in the back of the car
The idea behind this is the clip fits in where the seat belt would usually hold a person in place. The other end is attached to the dog collar. The idea the dog is restrained from jumping around whilst the car is in motion and places the dog in a hold position. In practise this works well, just to be sure the length of the cable is suitable to restrain your dog when in the car. This works for me really well, our dog goes to sleep when she is restrained by the steel rope.
