Looks ok
Can’t really say anything as it’s a Christmas gift and I haven’t opened the box, the box is a lot smaller than I expected but I’m hoping it’s great!

A great beginners drone - a joy to fly
This is definitely a drone designed for beginners, before I received this I’d never been close to one let alone having flown one. I’m still learning about this drone and I’m getting more proficient with every flight - it really is easy and a joy to fly. I’m a wee bit ‘ham fisted’ so my control in flight isn’t great, but that’s more to do with me than the drone - my friend mastered it in a very short time. The camera quality is pretty good, you obviously need to be able to have it stable in flight to get the best video quality - it’ll come with practice. The drone comes in a handy carry case which will protect it in transit. The drone comes with 2 x batteries which just clip in, you only fit one at a time so you have a spare to extend any flying time - each battery is good for about 30 minutes. As I’m new to drones I’ve done some research and the fact that this one is less than 250g means that the rules are a little bit more ‘relaxed’. The Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) say that if you’re flying a drone that’s under 250g, you can fly it closer to people than 50m and you can fly it over them - however you still can’t fly over crowds. In addition to the rules you really need to be considerate of peoples privacy and their concerns about drones - this little thing can still injure people, so it does need to be flown considerately and safely. I’ve had good fun flying this drone, it’s a great one to start off on - very happy to recommend.

Don't waste your money
Used the drone twice on the first flight it was not very responsive. On the attempted 2nd flight the blades on the arm a2 didn't respond and refused to work. E mailed manufacturer got a reply telling me to check the blades that they wasn't jammed done that and got no further help from them so returned it to amazon for a refund

Really impressive spec for the price.
I'm fairly new to drone flying, buying this as my second 'slightly unintended' one - but I'm very, very glad that I did. I bought my first larger drone without really understanding that difference weight makes to the unit and where you can easily fly it. At time of writing, the magic number is 250g, which this falls well below. A drone that is under this weight limit opens up much more of where you can fly it - which I cannot stress the importance of.Having a larger drone that effectively you have to be miles away from everything to be able to use is frustrating. Especially when you're learning the art and craft of flying a drone. This smaller drone means that I can now use it in my back garden for instance, instead of having to take a trip somewhere away from anyone.Usually, you have to sacrifice features on a smaller drone, but this doesn't seem to be the case here. The camera is very nice quality, for both stills and static photos - you pretty much always have to do a bit of post-processing to get the best from footage from a drone and here is no exception - but that's just part of the game. It finds satellites easily, though there is a little wait for that sometimes and calibration seems to have to be done each time you boot the drone - but again, that's quick and easy and soon becomes second-nature.Flight time is where this really gets good. My 'other drone' has a flight time of 20mins per battery - of which I got one included in the set. This 4DRC drone gives you two batteries and flight-time of around 30mins per battery. The addition of the second battery is of huge importance, as you can really get a lot of footage per flight - and not having the expense of having to buy further batteries right at the start is very welcome. The app is really good too - it's easy to understand and operate - though I did have an instance of 'calibration successful' boxes flashing over the screen after calibration once - though I am on a beta operating system - so it's very likely that rather than the app.The carry case is also really nicely made and designed. I'm extremely impressed with the build quality of everything if I'm honest. The only thing that does feel a little flimsy might be the remote controller - but it feels robust enough - just a little light in the hand.I actually wish that I'd have found this drone before spending far more on a drone that, in hindsight, is a little too large for me at the moment. Here, we have a superb beginner drone that can do all of the stuff the bigger drones can do, but is much more accessible in my mind.I'd rate this as a bit of a bargain and a perfect introduction to the really fun world of drone flying.Very, very impressive!

This is a great beginner drone. I have never used a camera drone before and this was a great stepping stone into the hobby. It flies very stable so anyone can use it. The features works advertised like the follow me feature. My favourite feature is when it runs low its comes straight to where it took off automatically. The 25 min battery is great and it coming with 2 batteries means almost an hr of flight time. The drawbacks are its very slow moving around, I guess thus is good for a beginner but once you get the hang of it you'll wish it had a little more speed. There is a gear change in the app from gear 1 to gear 2 but it doesn't seem to affect the drone at all. It also decends very slowly. My biggest issue is the camera quality. The camera quality is advertised at 4k but it looks more like 240p. Picture and video quality looks like it was done with a potato. It's completely unusable as the resolution is so low. The dynamic range is also none existence. Just poor camera quality all around. The worst thing is even though video quality looks like that of a 1995 camera the file size is very much the same as an actual 4k file. So using the video will take a lot of storage with the drawback of poor quality. It's a lose lode situation. For this reason it's unusable for actual good footage.Due to this false advertisement I would not recommend if you wanted to get some good drone shots.
