Extremely fast pairing, responsive, no delays or disconnects– just an excellent product. I remember wireless controllers when the PS2 was relevant, and they could never dream of being this good.

The main reason I got this was so I could play the fighting games I had for my PlayStation (Tekken 3, Mortal Kombat Deception, VF4 Evolution, and Guilty Gear X2) with my 8BitDo fightstick that I procured not long ago. Needless to say, it works flawlessly! Setup is super easy, too. You likely won't even need the manual! Just plug it in and it'll either enter pairing mode or search for the controller you paired it to once you power the PS1/PS2 on. Pairing the fightstick to the receiver only took a few seconds as well, and after that I was able to start pulling quarter-circles and other crucial motion inputs with ease and speed that I can't get on a regular gamepad. Now yes, while I could complain about it being Bluetooth only, this is a small inconvenience I can live with. I had previously used a Brook Wingman Adapter, and while It DID offer Wired/2.4ghz USB support, it was much more finnicky and SOMEHOW, a DualShock 3 controller was enough to get it permanently stuck trying to pair to it. Believe me, that was not the best $50 to have wasted. This, though? Definetly worth the $25 price tag! The only thing you'd need on the other end to play your favorite PlayStation games cordless is a controller that's Bluetooth enabled AND has XInput support. I haven't figured out what the USB-C port does, and as much as I'd hope that could possibly be for a wired connection option, it probably doesn't do anything outside of let you hook it up to a computer for software purposes.

Absolutely amazing lets me use my ps5 controller on my ps2 and has no lag it even let me use my Xbox series controller with it also so good I bought a second one so I can play with my kids without the worry of wires

I found my old PS1 from when I was a kid in my parents’ attic. Dusted it off and went about looking to buy some used original wired controllers. Then I remember that 8bitdo makes these adapters for the old consoles. I trust 8bitdo. I use all of their retro inspired controllers and adapters with my SNES, Genesis and PlayStation classic minis. Those work really well but this one for the PS1 is even better! I was able to connect my PS5 30th anniversary dual sense controller instantly and get into gaming. The wireless performance feels no different than if I was using my PS5. When I dig up my old Genesis out of the attic, you can bet I’ll be buying 8bitdo’s adapters for that too.

This things kicks ass. The battery life is pretty good, connects with my Xbox controllers super easy with good wireless range. I've been on the hunt for more first party dualshock 2s since I got a multi tap and this thing is honestly the answer I've been looking for

Absolute game-changer for retro setups. Plugged this into my PS2 and boom—my modern controllers paired instantly with zero fuss. Lag? Practically nonexistent. Compatibility? Shockingly good. If you want your old-school consoles to feel next-gen without any wiring drama, this little receiver is the move. Then only complaints I have about it are that the first one I received was a piece of plastic in a box that was surgically taken apart and put back in the box to simulate the weight of the receiver. I did send it back with pictures and received a replacement with no questions asked so it doesn't lose any stars for that. The second complaint is that while this works with SOOO many different controllers (newer Xbox one, PS and switch controllers) one you Bluetooth the the device, you can't turn off the controllers. So the Xbox controller, I pull the batteries - you can't do that for PS or Switch controllers. I have to turn the consoles per their controller, resync controller and then use the console to turn off the controller. A minor inconvenience and 8bitdo can't control how accessories are designed for other consoles, but it would be nice if the adapter would turn off the controller when power was disconnected.

So far this is working flawlessly for me. I recently got the urge to play my childhood ps2 again and figured this would be perfect considering how none of my original controllers work anymore. So far this has worked perfectly, I have yet to notice any input lag or syncing issues. Now my old ps4 controller has a new life to it!

Would prefer to know who the seller was, but it seems fine/legit. I updated firmware automatically on my PC (has a little USB-A to C cord), it was v.1.05 out of the box so needed upgrading but was quick and easy to do via 8BitDo's site. Works great on the PSX so, unlike everyone else, I'm glad it's grey hehe. Matches perfectly. Plug it in, press the red button, put my Xbox Series X controller into BT pairing mode and done in a few seconds. Don't notice major lag, it's pretty great. That rumble engine is strong though! I still have my OG PSX controllers they work but it's nice to have the extra length and be rid of unsightly cords. Am buying another. Series X D-Pad always gives me blisters/too stiff, but again, love the option of BT and might pick up some 8BitDo retro BT to try.

Funciona perfectamente en PS2 slim, probado con mando Xbox y Nintendo switch controller pro, me queda de probar con PS2 fat y un mando no oficial, si no edito, es que va perfecto con todo y sin queja. Es sencillo de usar, sin lag, funciona muy bien permite mejorar la experiencia original de los DualShock 2

Parfait ! Quel plaisir de rejouer à ma PS2 avec la liberté et le confort de ma manette sans fil PS4. Aucune latence, pas de bug ni de problème de déconnection n’est vraiment le top !

Excellent. Colour matches the OG Playstation perfectly, great build quality and it is plug-and-play. Tested with PS4 and Xbox One controllers, it syncs easily and keeps a consistent, strong connection with what feels like no latency. There was zero setup required apart from the Bluetooth sync step. Both controllers work perfectly. Note: Just a heads up - I could NOT sync with an official PS3 controller. This is due to the PS3's Bluetooth connection protocol. It's not listed as compatible anyway, but apparently it is possible by hooking the adapter and controller up to a PC and jumping through some hoops using specific software. I could not get that working at all, so if you're thinking of doing that, don't bother.
