I like it better than Paint Tool Sai and photoshop elements! Super easy to install and runs great on my laptop. They even have a how to book for it; super useful!

My art skills are limited, and that is being generous. My daughter (13) on the other hand loves art, especially digital so I picked this up mainly for her. She is the primary user, and I have also tried some things myself. These are our thoughts. She was originally confused as to why a digital download came in a box. I actually like this presentation, having something tangible. Plus, the artwork on the box is pretty awesome. Coupon codes are included in the package for in app add on purchases. We haven't yet really needed any of the bonus materials, but the prices aren't bad and I may get them in the future. The download was very easy and went smooth. The file size isn't exactly small, but then again there is A LOT going on in this program and that takes up space. The projects too take up some memory, and of course the more you do, more space is required. If your serious about art and plan on using this quite a bit, I highly recommend some type of external storage. There is absolutely a learning curve with this! It took me some time to learn just a fraction of what is available. My daughter on the other hand picked it up in no time. I'm amazed watching her click back and fourth, making small adjustments to her project. She goes so fast and my mind is blown at how quickly she learned what everything does. (I'll note that she has used many other free and upgraded drawing/illustrating apps in the past). The company recommends, and I very much agree, that this program works best with a pen tablet or high sensitivity stylus. I'm truly in awe at how the program picks up how hard/soft you are pressing on the screen and the brush stroke is reflective of that. My daughter loves using this and it has quickly become her go to app for drawing and animation. She specifically wants the 'hand feature' called out, as it makes something she could never get quite right before, much easier. Not only is it making her art and animation look better/more polished, her actual art skills are improving by the day. I'll add that, in the 6 weeks we have had this, she has barely done the usual teenage things online, and if she has watched videos, they are of other animators using this program. As a parent, I have no complaints about that. This program is a definite score! There is TONS you can do, and I'm blown away at the quality of the work being turned out (especially by a 13 year old!) I'm also greatful that for only $60 (at the time of this review) that they offer the perpetual license (we own it forever, updates are included...). I feel that is rare these days, but to me it is further proof that they know they make a killer program that they stand behind. This is 1000% worth it!

I was surprised to see a physical box version of this product available (having previously downloaded art programs and their associated keys straight from the website). Although the box is only really necessary to get the product key, I found it to be a nice touch. The box includes a QR code to quickly go to the downloaded site, and the aforementioned product key that you would enter after downloading the software. There's also a nice insert with art, and additional coupon/discount codes on the inside if you're interested in buying brush packs/etc. The software itself is nice, albeit a very large download to get started. I am not an established artist, but do enjoy a bit of dabbling, and found the interface to be easy to understand once you get started. The software downloaded through this product opens up the drawing software inside of it (2 programs will display in the Windows taskbar: Clip Studio, and Clip Studio Paint). Although I'm not sure I grasp this strategy, the parent program that opens up shows a lot of good information about clip studio, and can be closed after Clip Studio Paint opens. So far, the software is fun, and I would recommend giving it a shot if you want to dabble with paid art software.

I wanted this program for a very specific reason: its rulers. I am not an artist, but from time to time I need to create perspective drawings of objects. Clip Studio Paint Pro includes perspective rulers which greatly simplify the creation of isometric perspective drawings. That feature alone makes this a standout program for me. The perspective rulers are only one feature of this very capable painting and drawing program. There are dozens of features, many of them augmented by free online resources. The publisher’s website has lots of details about what’s available in the program. Be forewarned, though, really learning the program in depth has a learning curve, but you can still do a lot with only learning the basics. Bottom line: this is a fun and useful program if you’re into graphics. Jerry

what i really dislike about the upgrade is you have to pay for updates now, if you want to update to the latest features , and that's not right .. You should never have to pay for updates,

There is a lot to love and a lot to critique with CSP, just like anything else. But upgrading to 2.0 is 100% worth it, especially for me since I use the 3D models pretty frequently. It works extremely well for paintings, illustrations, comics and more! I wish it was a bit easier to animate in it, that has to be it's least intuitive aspect, but it is possible and it does do it quite well once you get the hang of it. It is a little hard to grasp for an absolute beginner, just like any art program. There's a lot of buttons and options and brushes etc., so a newbie would need to look at the (easily available) tutorials out there. I still highly recommend it to anyone wanting to take the leap into digital art! I feel extremely lucky to receive a license this way and I'm so excited to work on more projects!!

I nabbed this for myself and my gifted artist 8-year-old son. We plopped it onto his new ipad and off we went. We went through the basics as I am familiar with some elements present in all design programs I was able to get him going. This tools in this program just seem more intuitive for what you are doing and I guess that makes sense as it is a more focuses program. I am used to open ended programs that could just as easily design square architecture as it could fun stuff. All in all I really love this product. In a world that hands you free apps and barely touches the full possibility its nice to see something made with it all included.

I dislike everything about this. The item said I would get a USB device but, I received an activation code instead. Unbeknownst to me, this could only be used on one device. I installed it on my iPad but it did not take. Then I tried it on my Surface laptop and of course, the code could not be used (Because I used it on the iPad?). I found out the 3.0 version was out so, thinking I could start anew and get the program installed, I purchased it. I tried it on the Surface. It installed. But I could not figure how to even start a project. It's a mystery to me. Very frustrating. The ver 3 can be used on two devices, so I have one more chance to get exasperated. Don't get this program unless you have strong computer skills. My final recommendation: look elsewhere.

Very good item. It’s a perpetual subscription but only works with version 2.0.6. It includes everything you need to draw art and comics.

è un bel programma con tutto ciò che può servire per disegnare. non ottimizzato per le animazioni, ma perché c'è un altro programma apposito. ottimo anche a livello di personalizzazione sia del programma che dei tratti e elementi al suo interno. lo store interno, supportato dagli artisti, ha una quantità pressoché infinita di tipi di tratti, modelli 3d, texture ecc. che si posso scaricare, quasi tutti gratuitamente. è una licenza a tempo illimitato, il che significa, non dover pagare abbonamenti mensili e poter trasferire, seppur con limitazioni, l'account da un computer ad un altro qual ora necessario, cosa da non non fare costantemente per evitare problemi. (potrebbe essere visto come tentativo di pirateria dai sistemi IA.)

Je n'ai pas encore utilisé la moitié des fonctionnalités du logiciel néanmoins ce que je peux en dire c'est que son installation est simple et rapide qu'il est préférable d'utiliser au minimum un palette graphique voir pour le mieux une tablette graphique mais ce que je peux dire pour le moment c'est qu'il a tout les outils graphique dont vous pouvez avoir besoin pour réaliser vos œuvres et même plus je pense que ce logiciel va me surprendre !

Great program works fabulous I use it with my Huion Tablet works Great!, I also had a Wacom which i am sure it would just fine with as that worked with every program i have on my computer. Good price but they have a new version out now so look for the newest version if you can obviously before the older ones. Also perpetual license so don't need to renew no subscriptions crap just download install enjoy :)
