I love the Deck but I find its surface a bit rough and it causes my hands to get sweaty after long play sessions. This fixes that and adds a really nice texture to it. It also of course protects it from scratches and some drops. Its effect on overall ergonomics isn’t massive, but the Steam Deck already excels at that anyway and this allows it to fit in the official case (it’s a tight fit but you can definitely make it work). It’s very easy to put on and take off, can be done with little effort but it still feels secure. You can’t use it with the official but that’s where another bonus feature comes in: you can stand it up. No kickstand or anything, just put it down straight and it’ll stay upright. This is obviously just useful in general but it gets around the dock issue because you can just stand the Deck up in front of the dock and then plug it in. Awesome product!

My favorite Steam Deck case out of the three that I've purchased.My biggest gripe with most cases is the grip (hand fatigue), Bumper access, and color ways. This one meets two out of three; I love purple, but still wish I had a different color to choose from.She takes a good drop here or there, but that's from my hands to the desk, not from sitting or standing all the way to the floor. Doesn't pass too much heat from the system, somewhat light, easy to put on, and stands on its own.Had it for a year and it's still going strong.

I’m not a huge fan of the giant added grips as someone with smaller hands. Having the offering as something slim and grippy that meshes with the oled steam deck is really appreciated. The black matches the deck perfectly so the color is great. The thickness is noticeable but super flush. It slips in perfectly and causes no issues with ease of use. The protection is there for the back; but of course the device is exposed at the front so keep it in a case when traveling. I have the oled steam deck case and it fits perfect with the case on inside it.My only complaint (and it’s a nitpick) is that the button cover doesn’t match the oled steam deck (who’s only differing feature on a body level is said button). I kinda wish it had an orange button option. Otherwise, the value is great so I recommend you buy it!

My husband is happy with this purchase for his Steam Deck. He had a dBrand skin on his Steam Deck when he initially put on this protective case - and while it fit okay, it was not perfectly lined up. Once he took off the skin the case fit much better and he is happy with the fit. Overall the feel is nice and adds some texture to the grips to help hold the Steam Deck. It stands up nicely and doesn't feel like it will easily tip over.

Quick pros and cons from a few hours of gameplay:++The flat, angled bottom acts as a simple stand that works very well on flat, hard surfaces. I do a lot of tinkering while at my PC, so being able to just set the Deck down without to fiddle around is nice!++I have small hands, but the case's grips and form factor aren't too bulky. I can comfortably reach all the buttons, and I haven't noticed any areas where the case pinches or catches my fingers.++The textured grippiness of handles is also comfortable++The Deck still fits into my generic metal USB dock, though it does sit almost vertically in the slot.++The case is easy to apply and remove~~For as nice as the "stand" is, it won't work on a couch or a cushion. The base just isn't wide enough.~~The volume buttons are functional but stiffer than I would like~~The ease of removal also means that the fit isn't perfect. There's a barely perceptible amount of extra room, where the Deck can shift slightly inside the case. It's not enough for the Deck to fall out, but I can feel the tiniest bit of movement.~~If you tend to press the back L4/R4/etc. buttons by pushing up towards the screen (as opposed to "outwards" into the grips), your fingers may run up against the beveled edge of the cutouts. They're not sharp or anything, just "in the way".--With this grip attached, I DO NOT feel comfortable putting the Steam Deck in its original case. The amount of force needed to close the lid over the unit is more than what I would deem reasonable, and while I'm not positive that closing the case is going to damage the Deck, I'm not about to try it and find out.

There has been a debate for a long time now of who has the best steamdeck case. It's been a toss up between jsaux, D brand, and skull and co. For me, skull and Co is the winner. I'm a very simple human being. I don't need alot of bells and whistles on things. It just needs to be able to fit in the case and be sleek. Skull and co has accomplished this. It's a very bare bones case that has a very grippy texture and best of all, it doesn't fall into the "we have 80 different things you can stick on it" pit. What you see is what you get. It's just a simple soft case thats a bit more flat at the bottom of the grips so you can stand it up and that's about it. There's no extra rubber framing around the triggers and shoulder buttons like the other grips so you don't have to worry about it interfering with button function. Skull and co literally addresses all of the issues the other grips have with this grip case and it's nice. Best of all it's easy to put on and it fits effortlessly into the stock oled Steamdeck case even when you have thumbstick caps attached as well. It's amazing. You can tell they understood the assignment. If you want bare bones, skull and co is the way to go.

Perfect for when I have downtime at work to prop my steam deck on and watch movies, protects it when I drop it, and fits in the carrying case the company makes to go with it

I bought both the slim grip case and the hard carry case.For the grip, initially I was put off by the rubber smell but letting that air out for a week or two really helped. And km glad because this is my favorite case for the deck. It's not too bulky, it adds a nice amount of grip and being able to stand it up on its own is a really nice convenience to add. The black helps maintain the sleek look of the deck.For the carry case, I had a hard time replacing the original case the oled came with but I wanted something that fit the Skull and Co grip. Fortunately this case is only a little thicker than the slim case, and comes in a nice denim blue. It feels very premium I think it's a perfect carrying case
