I want to start by saying I LOVE this thing. I got it for when I need to leave the apartment for more than a few days because I know it will reliably water my plants. The device is very small and compact, and the package comes with enough drippers and joints to water up to 10 plants, and its super easy to do yourself.Opening the package up you get: A power brick that is plenty long enough; The main device, with a clip to attach to your water container, plant pot, etc; A WEIGHTED water pump inlet with a mesh filter on the bottom to prevent debris in your tubing; The tubing itself (good quality); 2 four-way X joints, and 5 three-way T joints. You also get several plastic plugs to block any routes in pipes you might not be using (though if you use the joint types properly for the amount of plants you have, you shouldn't need these.)The device has a TON of customization options, all detailed in the manual - though its super intuitive to setup and figure out yourself. First, you set the date and time, and from there you can set the period between waterings from anywhere between 1 hour and 30 days. You can set the length of time it waters the plants from 5-120 seconds (how long it continues to pump water for in that session, before that watering period is over.) You can also schedule the time of day the watering happens, though this isn't too big of a feature because honestly, the noise it makes when watering is no louder than quiet laptop fans and there's no reason you'd want to avoid having this water at night, for example. All in all, lots of control over the watering schedule. There's also a button to manually water it for the amount of seconds set if your plants need some extra, or you just don't want to use the auto schedule for whatever reason. Also good to test for fit.In my vacation setup, I just have my plants lined up on the floor next to a big 10 gallon container of water, with the pump and weighted inlet sitting happily watering my plants every other day. The whole thing does its job wonderfully! (And I think my plants prefer it over me... They just don't understand that everyone forgets to water plants sometimes!) In the 2 weeks I've had it running, I've had no leaks or drips where I didn't want them, only right into the plants from the drippers!From my testing, 5 seconds of pumping equates to 80 mL (~2.8 floz) of water - keep this in mind and adjust your pumping time + frequency as needed! Also keep in mind that the drippers all essentially water the plants at an equal rate regardless of location in the water pipeline, and at a slow drip rate (so you won't flood the plants accidentally, which is good.) The seller advises that for thirstier plants, you add multiple drippers in the same pot. This is advisable against just increasing the pump time as doing so increases the water for ALL plants in your irrigation line, not just the one that might need more water. You don't want to over water some plants while under watering others! Hopefully the seller can list their own purchasable irrigation sticks and joints, though these are readily available elsewhere - do your due diligence in making sure they fit!On the fence still? Get it anyway! For less than $40 this thing is a STEAL. You never have to worry about your plants on vacation again (or ever if you permanently set this up for watering!)

Overall this is a nice product, except it doesn’t do well after a power interruption. It doesn’t return to operate after a power interruption of several seconds. It remembers the time (stops at loss of power) and none of the settings. I added a 12 battery pack, Talentcell yb1206000, so that I can leave it run during a vacation with peace of mind. The unit is super easy to program and comes with some nice silicon tube and fittings, the included filter would not go into my 5 gal glass bottle.

bought this to keep indoor plants watered without needing to monitor/water manually or frequently. works great, setup the watering time along with frequency & havent had any issues. The only thing I do now is fill the 5 gallon bucket I use as a supply source & thats maybe once a week for 8-10 bigger sized planters

I like this thing’s predecessor, but the new one has too many buttons, and not enough functionality. There was a power outage while I was gone and rather than having some bit of battery to tell it what the programming was before it lost power was, it just lost track of that and stoped watering my plants. Which is what it’s supposed to do.

Loved the visual setting capabilities.The previous ones that I bought had a hidden settings which required more thinking!!!This is way easy to set.The set up with the 1/4" piping was a breeze as well.

I have intermittent travel and this automatic plant watering system solves the problem I had where I would forget to water my plants before I left. When I returned from a business trip, my plants would be almost dead and I would take them out and soak them for a while to bring them back. This little gadget solves that problem where I can just fill up a pitcher once in a while and it parcels that water out to the plants daily. Programing was easy, the instructions are good. I checked, and the tubing is standard sized and you can get more at any of the big home improvement stores.I have been a little light on the waterings as my big fear is that I will leave and this will flood the plants (and my hardwood floors) so I have only had it do a few seconds. Just doing a small amount of time still seems adequate. I think I have to entirely replace all the tubing as there seems to be some discoloration of the clear tubing this ships with, after some time. I don't understand why the manufacturer went with clear tubing on this, unless it is just to see the water moving around. Having to replace the tubing is kind of irritating.Overall, this is a peace of mind product. You can automate away one thing that is easy to forget and not worry about your plants and worry about forgetting to water them. The price of this unit is right in line with what I would expect. I feel this is worth it and justifies the amount with what it does, the only problem is the tubing and that there is no backup battery.

I’ve tried various height configurations based on the product examples, but one tube out of the 4-way connector always receives 100% of the water. I decreased it slightly using a zip tie as a flow constrictor, but am seeking better solutions.Also, after a power outage, some timer settings are lost.

Easy setup and delivers plenty of water.
