I love this! So much better than the mercury type that fog up. Easy to read and adjusts so you can clip it on your pot at whatever height it needs to be.

Very accurate, with making candy, it's very readable, good battery. Only con it shuts off sometimes but just turn it back on an you right back to reading precise temp, very satisfied.

I received this and my first use was to fry chicken. It worked well, kept me informed of the oil temperature accurately. The one thing I found that I did not like is that after approximately 10 minutes, maybe less, the thermometer automatically turned off. Luckily, I was paying attention to my chicken because, you know, hot oil 😂 I also found that I need to play around with the clip it comes with to figuring out depth placement. I shallow fried and it was challenging to keep the tip from touching the bottom of my skillet, which would have given an inaccurate temperature reading. Otherwise, a decent digital thermometer for the price.

For $14.99 it’s a great gadget. I ordered it because the receipt for candy called for a thermometer but I’ve used it more for checking the internal temperature of meat. I have a meat thermometer that costs a lots more which I used to compare the temp and found that it was within a couple of degrees of each other

First time using this it melted into something that can never be used again. Used it connected to my pot of frying grease via the clip provided. Grease never topped 360 degrees. It never fell into the grease nor came in contact with anything. The heat in the air emitted from the pot caused the whole face to dissolve and distort. It must have also loosened the glue holding the head to the steel shaft because after it cooled I put it back into the protective holder only for it to come apart when pulled it back out. This product is incapable of monitoring frying. It should never be marketed or sold saying that it can. Very disappointed. It seemed accurate for the two minutes it worked.

This is an amazing item for making my candy items. I love how it is easy to read led screen. Unfortunately when I first tried to put the clip to my pan. The clip broke off. Not very sturdy at all. I have to improvise for a moment but ended up getting it fixed on my own. Would probably suggest get a better item that holds better.
