Thank you 🤘😊 Review: one mans survival against the odds - Based on a true story this of overcoming the harsh weather, wolves etc and making it back, even though it's not all in one piece. Good story, decent acting, poor mother/son casting choice
As much as I like both actors, it was a poor pick for a mother/son roles. Around min 9 into the movie, when Eric catches a ride up the mountain on an F150 crew cab, he rode in the truck's bed. What, the dog would've mauled him? Or he just wanted to show his macho side, braving the winter cold? Or maybe that's just how it really happened. Either way, it didn't make much sense. Than he locks himself out of the house? Really? Otherwise, it was a riveting and inspiring story of survival. Not much of acting needed though. The mountain scenery was amazing and the snowboarding action spectacular. Cudos for the stunt performers. Maybe 3 stars would've been more appropriate, but I let it slide because both, Josh and Mira, are very charming.

Excellent Job on this True Story
Josh did an excellent acting job in this movie that was based on a true story. I highly suggest this movie to anyone, a very professional job done well based on this true story of events of what really happened.

Inspiring!
This movie was very good. There was one goof that I could not ignore: when Eric is out in the freezing wilderness, how ;come when he breathes you don't see the vapor in the air from his mouth?? OOPS! I've lived in a polar-climate & when you breathe outside, you can see your breath in a fog-like vapor!!! Otherwise, it was an okay movie.

Must-see Movie with Great Everything!
This was a really good movie. Mira and Josh were both great to watch. Cinamatography was SO good. The movie draws you in right from the start and even though you know what happens at the end, you still feel for Eric, and hope that he makes it off the mountain! There are some flashbacks that are not so well done (though Mira is superb), but they are quick and virtually painless, because they do help give you a sense of where Eric is in his head during his ordeal. This is a must-see.

What idiot goes out snowboarding while on drugs and then gets lost in extremely bad weather ?. This is exactly what this chap does. No food or water carried. His phone and radio go due to battery failure. He even writes in the snow, I am an idiot. Too true. Based on a true story. It is worth watching for him trying to survive. I did not think it was brilliant but for a young man to go out and get caught up in that kind of weather and on drugs was really very stupid. He also loses both of his legs later as well. I felt the chill! Yes, engaging, frustrating, beautifully filmed and ultimately satisfying - right up to the 'real person' footage at the end. Based on a true story so cannot quibble really and well-acted by JH in particular who carried the film for much of its running time. Why 'frustrating'? Because I wanted him to be rescue much sooner than he was....but that was not the story, of course.
