This line is really thick and stiff, but it worked great for what I used it for. I used it for a Koi fish pond over a really large stock tank and it held up really well and had no holes in it.

Worked for what we wanted. It is NOT a rubber type product. More like a heavy duty black plastic. Very stiff. It would work great if you were doing a round pond, but difficult to use to line a horse tank. However, for the price, it will do.

I used this to line a 150 gallon stock tank that had a leak. It is filled with rainwater. First thing I noticed is my horses refuse to drink from it. The next thing was that algae won't grow in it. Then the frogs laid eggs in it and they either died in the sack or within a day of hatching (this has happened several times) and none of the other water critters (striders, boatmen, backswimmers, snails etc) that normally show up have. It has now been 1 month with several recycles of water and the water is still perfectly clear, no life at all. I tried an experiment and put some of my hardier aquatic plants in it and within 24 hrs they were withering. Even mosquito larva don't live in it. I did not change the location or anything else with this tank other than adding the liner. I have never had anything like this happen before and I have 7 different tanks. One month in full sun and no algae!?!? If I had used this for my fish pond and lost my fish I would have been very upset. Please use caution.
