SnapWords Kits are designed first of all to bring success in reading to all types of learners, but they are also designed to do most of the work for the teacher or parent! SnapWords Cards have a track record of bringing success to children with dyslexia, autism, ADHD, those who are visual learners, and brand new learners. Obstacles to learning can include inability to sound out words, sounding out words just fine but not remembering the word later, slow, halting reading, and lack of reading comprehension. The images embedded into each word help children learn words as easily as a camera snapping a picture. This is vital for children who need to learn whole words before they can break them down with phonics. The reverse of each card displays the plain word without a visual and describes a body motion for the word - a necessary tool for many kinesthetic learners and children with dyslexia. In addition, a sentence using the word and coordinating with the visual on the front of the card focuses children's attention on the meaning of the word and how it is used in everyday communication. Details This complete set contains 633 high-frequency sight words, including all 220 Dolch words, 500 Fountas & Pinnell most frequently recurring words, 300 Fry instant words and some extra high frequency words.
