Great natural color
I see people complain about the color saying it’s not white. Well hate to break it to you BUT NATURAL pumice is NOT WHITE. It will very from light grey to black AND it will be in the warm yellow color family. Mine is mixed from light beige to darker grey beige. Of course it had a lot of dust which again it is going to be dusty. It is a very big bag so just a little shaking for this size bag is going to create a lot of dust. I think the bad reviews are by premadonnas who think natural things should come perfect size shape and extremely clean….well I’ve never know anything in nature to be any of those things. Im sure they get mad when rain makes them wet too. So ignore them. This stuff is great. And you can’t beat the price. To get 12 quarts for the price most charge for 2 quarts is worth it. I don’t need it to come in a fancy bag and label. I want the lower price not premadonna packaging prices. THIS STUFF ROCKS.

Organic Pumice, Great Price
I would definitely buy these again. I purchased both the 3/8” and 1/4” pumice, this review is for both. Very basic packaging but functional, I use my own containers anyways. No unpleasant odor, true to size, great mixture and texture, very few non-rock “debris,” slightly damp/minimal dust. I didn’t wash the pumice, so the dust is just another soil additive. Pic 1: 3/8” after delivery, OVER 20qt! Pic 2: sieved pumice into 3/8” 20qt tote and 0.39” 12qt tote. Pic 3: non-rock “debris.” Pic 4: 1/4” after delivery, slight over 20qt. Pic 5: sieved pumice into 1/4” 20qt tote and 0.39” 6.8qt tote. Pic 6: non-rock “debris.” Because of the mixed reviews, I decided I had the time and wanted to give my perspective. While I do not want to dismiss other people’s experiences, maybe they got bad batches? Anyhoos, I will be buying this again. Thanks so much! ^_^

Good for price point.
Pretty good for price point. There was some plastic mixed in somehow and some silt/dust of course. Still a decent amount remaining after washing. It might not be the best for a top dressing purpose but great as a pot filler for my succulents.

These rocks rock
This is a good value! No, they’re not bleached white or dust free. This pumice stuff comes out of a mine! You’ll need to rinse them off to get more porous clean surfaces, but this isn’t difficult, and then they look great. And there are *some* smaller rocks and some dust—but the dust is very little by volume. The 3/8” is a good size—great for my intended use in aroid potting mix. Bag is thin but comes well protected by a tightly taped up cardboard box. Volume of the box (LxWxH) is 19L, which is 20 quarts. So the volume is correct. And the price is good! This is 2/3 of a cubic foot of pumice. A solid 4.5 stars.

Dude...
Duuuude..DUUUUUUUUUDE! 😎🤙🏽SO. MANY. ROCKS! ❤️ They come with abrasive dust on them from shipping, but rest assured my gromies and fellow gardeners, they'll rinse right off and look great. (No rinsing needed tbh, the pummice dust acts to a similar role as sand particles to aerate the soil.)

IDK What Happened?! Dirty, Off Color
The media could not be loaded. I purchased the Horticultural Pumice for Plants Professional Sifted (20QT, 1/4 inch) for $36.99. I’ve bought this several times before and all of my proceeding orders were awesome! Well-sifted, uniform size and clean, creamy white color. It had minimal dust and even that was bright white. Not sure what happened but this last order was TERRIBLE! It’s super dirty looking, similar to cement powder. The stones range in color from sickly looking gray, brown to black. It still looks terrible even after rinsing it 5 times! Size was still perfect.I use pumice not only as a soil amendment (to promote drainage and aeration) but as a top soil for my succulents and other select plants. I would not use this particular batch for top dressing.

Cheapest pumice seller on Amazon.
This was the most reasonably inexpensive for the largest amount of pumice . Also was able to get it n large 3/8 sized stones which I prefer. It’s packaged in large plastic bags so be careful grabbing the bag when opening the box. Pumice or lava rock because it’s got a way better CEC than perlite. While increasing oxygen in the soil . Also, DOESNT easily crush like perlite . I’m using it in my vegetable gardening and so far , it’s an eye opening difference in plant quality

Perfect for my succulents
I use this product, and now have started ordering the 50 qt size, so it obviously suits my needs! I use it for succulents, cactus, and for a bottom layer in my houseplants. It looks pretty to me once it is rinsed and washed. I do this mostly for appearance, to lighten the color, and I would recommend anyone else do the same. If you are a plant person, no big deal. If you are a wuss, maybe not for you. This is the magic substrate for succulents and cactus in my opinion.
