Catalytic Converter Cleaner

I'm very happy with the effectiveness of this product. And getting my tank down to a 1/4 tank and adding this product. Then driving 20 to 30 miles is key. Immediately afterwards filling the tank. The difference in the way the car drives was a releaf for me. I will buy this product again either through Amazon or if i could find it locally.

Honda Ridgeline with 140.000 miles. Had an issue with a misfire on 2 cylinders which I resolved (be careful of aftermarket spark packs - 2 out of 6 I purchased were bad). Once misfire was resolved the check engine light indicated that the catalytic converter for that bank of cylinders was bad. I bought this stuff hoping to avoid replacing the converter for a while longer. First can on 1/2 tank achieved nothing. Check engine light went out on its own after the 2nd can on 1/2 tank.

IT WORKS!!! My check engine light was on and wouldn't pass smog, the tech told me it was probably the catalytic converter. I have an older car and the repair cost more than what the car is worth. I ran two cycles back to back with about 7 gallons of gas each. After that, I disconnected the battery for about 30 minutes to clear the check engine light. Once the code is clear you gotta make sure all the sensors start working again with what's called a obdII drive cycle, mine were stubborn and took about 200 miles to get back on. Once the the sensors started working again, I took it back to the smog shop and it passed no issues. If you're having issues with your OBDII sensors this is definitely worth a shot before other costly repairs.

I am revising my review. The product worked initially, then code came back, and now codes gone again after driving it a few days. So I guess it has worked better than I thought when codes came back. Not sure but I will monitor and revise again if needed.

bought a new (to me) car and was told cats needed to be replaced. the first thing I tried was cataclean, didn't work. next I tried some other autozone cat cleaner and it still didn't work. I searched here on amazon for catalytic converter cleaner, found this and dumped both bottles into my nearly empty gas tank. did my usual hot soak, involving running high RPMs on the freeway then let the car sit overnight. filled up my tank with gas the next day (mixing it with the 2 bottles of this stuff) and proceeded to drive as usual until the tank was empty. just today on my way to class I noticed my check engine light was off and upon scanning for codes i discovered both my P0420 and P0430 codes have gone away. now this is great but I will give it another week to see if the codes return, but as of right now this stuff is gold. I recommend.

Don't waste your money, it doesn't work, it's a reason why it was two for the price of one, I guess they're trying to get rid of all this crap.

I tried DuraLube, Cataclean, and this. Not just on my daughter's car but she had 2 friends all get P0420/430 codes in 3 months of each other. Out of all the products this was the best one. It may not work for everyone, but it worked great for me. DuraLube got check engine light off for 800 miles, Cataclean fir maybe 300 miles. The I used this and now still going with light off for 4k miles.

Reasonable price for the quality, the content can be mixed with 1 fuel tank it is much easier to use compared than others that need to be mixed with quarter tank and driven to 50 miles.
