Saved having to buy a whole new fitting.
I thought I needed a whole new light fitting when the lights refused to come on. My electrician said the transformer needed to be replaced, or buy a new fitting. He found this for sale on Amazon and ordered it, when it came it was a lot bigger than the original, the original had an L in the code. On ringing the company they said as long as it fitted into the top of the fitting it would be fine and it is, saving on the cost of a new fitting. On ordering the company contacted me to say Amazon were stating the item came with a 2 year guarantee but this was a generic item and only came with a one year guarantee. This was also clearly stated on the delivery note. Apparently they keep trying to get Amazon to update the information but are not having any success.

The best part about buying the replacement transformer was that it fitted exactly into a limited space in the ceiling light fitting. Having established that it was probably the transformer in the existing fitting that was faulty. I thought I would not be able to replace the transformer as the fitting was 5 to 7 years old and my own electrical ability is limited. When I saw the almost identical unit on amazon, I was surprised. We were also unable to find a similar fitting to buy so I was keen to keep the old light working, if the replacement part was a reasonable price. It certainly was and the light is now working again. Great result and Thanks.
