It's not large but no backlight (blessing) and switches easy to operate. Can't find any others in here that don't come with annoying auto dim light.

I was looking for a small, functional alarm clock with no bells or whistles - just a simple little clock that would get the job done. And this is it. The display is readable from a distance, and I like the fact that I can push a button to get a high visibility display at night. I didn't even need the instructions because the programming is so intuitive. The alarm sound is good - adequate to grab my attention, but not so loud or offensive that I want to throw the clock across the room. And by the way, if I did happen to want to throw the clock across the room, I could probably do so without harming either the clock or anything it landed on because of that soft, rubbery finish.
