Just got this shelf along with the lamp (Purchased separately) The lamp was a BREEZE to put together, this shelf? Not so much.Let me preface this by saying I have assembled everything from Hardwood floors, to lego sets and of course Ikea furniture. Point is, I can out stuff together as long as the instructions are clear. With that being said, these are the worst instructions ever.First off the holes do not match what is depicted, this is somewhat easy to work around if you get all the pieces And align them as seen in the photo BUT make sure all of the side holes are facing UP as this is where the back will drill in.No, to segway into the back, once I figured out the above and assembled the back part, I quickly learned that the holes do not align, maybe mine was faulty, but each hole was about 1cm off from being in the right spot, which meant I had to slightly hand drill all the screws in and then MALLET the back down, then repeat until the back was flush on there. Luckily the bottom base was smooth to put on from there.Overall. It was more frustrating than it needed to be. Even with that said I only took a star off, I know what I paid for and ultimately, for the price, it was a good value and nice color and is doing what it's intended for. I think the additional wall safety anchor was a thoughtful touch as well (Incase you plan to put this over your bed or over something fragile underneath)Fix your instructions and your holes and this will be a 5 star success, easily!As a WARNING, do NOT overtighten the screws, you WILL crack the wood and no one wants that!Thank you!

This shelf looks so cute in my living room. It allows for display of my books is a unique manner and I love it! Biggest downfall was how hard it was to put together. I had to take it apart 3 times to get it correct. It wasn’t super clear on which direction each board should go when attaching them. In the end I did just screen the base to the self with my own screws because I was so fed up.

We have the “greige” theme of furniture in our living room. Our living room desk just was running out of space for the books we have, plus we really wanted to use the shelves on the desk for other things since I work from home and this is my daily desk I use.My fiancé was able to put this together quickly and mount it to the wall. It holds WAY more books than I expected. It’s not too big and bulky and just adds a really cute touch to our living room.I highly recommend this bookshelf!

So easy to put together, so cute, and so functional! This was the piece I’ve been missing for organization of some books. I love it so much! Fits on dresser or small surface

Everything was fine while putting parts together until the last step. The bottom board was too thin that the two stabilizing thingy pop the bottom board.

This looked so cute on Amazon and even cuter in real life. I LOVE it. It holds all my books and I no longer have to shove them in a drawer which eventually is weighed down. Only draw back is that it was tricky to put together as the holes didn’t align perfectly but eventually my husband was able to shove them in place

I have this book shelf sitting on the floor in my small living room by a favorite chair. The style really blends in with any room, any decor. I like being able to showcase my favorite reads, and small trinkets that I picked up over the years. I’ve only had it for about a week and don’t plan to be moving it around so I can’t speak to sturdiness. It does hold a ton of books, as illustrated in on-line photos. It adds a special touch to the space.

Nice and sturdy and holds a lot of dvds. Just what I needed to organize my collection.
