Used 2 sets of these straps to tie down 2 harley baggers in a trailer. The retractable straps are much nicer and easier to use than the traditional straps. They held up very well. Before heading out I would rock the bikes side to side, re-tighten and never had to re-tighten even on a 500 mile road trip.

These are the only tie downs I've ever owned that aren't a nightmare to use. They actually work really well, even over time. I use them in very dusty conditions on a regular basis, and rarely replace them. They're my #1 tie down of choice, as someone who employs approximately 15-20 tie downs on my truck on a daily basis. They aren't very long, but I just use extender straps when needed.

The straps are so handy to use, you must beware that the protective cover over the spring is plastic, do not throw these straps around, that cover breaks rather easily. I had one break the first time I used it, I wasn't paying attention to what it was made of.....good news though..... the company sent me out a whole new package of 4 straps! Quality Company, Great Customer Service!
