SCHIP3 Steam Cleaner

Windows-not impressed. Much prefer my own method.Steam power- very impressed.Ease of use - very impressed but read the manual and watch the youtube video first.Duration- tank lasts ages compared with my little hand held (Which top rated) one that is going in the bin.Attachments - excellent.Heat up time -outstanding.Refill - instant, no waiting for cool down, fill it up and carry on.General steam cleaning- very goodHeavy duty steam cleaning - think old, 70s, grimy patio doors- very good.Hob- very good.Oven - buy a self cleaning one, life is really too short.Overall this is a great machine, very versatile, and without any of the annoying features of other (more expensive) ones.

Purchased in August - initially I thought it was great - apparently well made and with useful attachments. Very useful. It then failed totally in December despite being used as instructed with correct water etc. This is now the second portable steam cleaner I have purchased - the first one did at least last a lot longer than this

I've not had a steam cleaner before so I can't compare it to anything else but this seems to be good value. It looks and feels well made, and certainly produces plenty of steam. The attachments are good (particularly the rotating brush feature) and it has a good long power cord which means you can work over a fairly large area without unplugging.One word of warning though - don't expect miracle cleaning. I tried using it to clean an oven and it didn't really touch burnt on spills etc. It's much more suited to lighter duties like bathrooms where it's excellent for cleaning tile grout, shower cubicles, sinks, taps etc.Also remember that you should use de-ionised/purified water in the tank to avoid scale build up.

Really pleased with this product. Easy to use and a variety of attachments included. Hip strap makes it easy to carry round. It does specify that you have to use filtered water in the tank so purchasing a water filter was an extra expense, but still pleased with the product.

Looked great when unboxed. Used it on my bathroom and it did an amazing job. The steam is almost instant and the option to strap it over your shoulder or to your hip is brilliant. I intended to use it to get the algae off the outside of the house. The rotating cleaner heads are also inspired and produced an amazing result.But... it conked out after just one hour of use. And that was that. Sending it back for a refund.I didn't use filtered water but only because I'm as south west as you can get in Cornwall and we have the softest cleanest water here you can imagine. Besides, even in a hard water area with tons of limescale you'd expect this to last longer than an hour.

Apart from needing to use filtered water rather than tap water I have no complaints. It fits well on my shoulder and I managed to reach the far corner of the bathroom ceiling which had until now proved elusive. I've yet to try it on the oven as ran out of filtered water but happy with it on bathroom tiles and grill pan. It's much easier to use than the smaller hand held models,

I am now hooked on steam cleaning, it is very satisfying using this machine. I clean all my white painted doors and frames, window sills and other paintwork I also use it in the bathroom on tiles and taps. Have use it to clean windows inside and out, and when I dry them off with a cloth, do not get marks left on the window. Have tried it on defrosting the fridge, and that helped to speed things up to Having a strap is useful to wear on your shoulder, and the electrical cable a decent length to be able to move around without having to unplug it constantly. The different tool heads change easily. Would recommend
