Excellent well-made product
These cold packs are not as cold as real ice or as the gel type you keep in the freezer, but they do get cold enough to reduce pain and swelling. The big advantage is portability. I always take these along when I travel, and I keep some next to the bed so I don't have to get up during the night if I need a cold pack. They work well -- just squeeze and shake. I really like the included sleeves because the plastic is not on my skin and I don't get wet from condensation in humid weather. I find it easier to put the pack into the sleeve before activating it. These are well made. I have never had one rip or puncture, which is especially important for travel, and I have never had one not work. When they start to warm up, a little additional shaking will get you a few more minutes of chilling. These are not a a replacement for ice, but for me they are a valuable addition to the chronic pain arsenal.

Very handy to have on the go
I love these ice packs if I'm going somewhere or can'tget out of bed to get an ice pack out of my refrigerator. The only downside, for me personally, is that they stay cold for about a 1/2 hour or so and are not as cold as a traditional ice pack. I have arthritis, ankylosing spondylitis and a failed back surgery, so it might just be a "me issue". Other than that I would recommend these ice packs.

Cold but short time
Instant cold but they are small and last about 30 minutes, esp. in hot weather. You need 2 or 3 for an ankle or elbow to cover both sides. A dry cloth is also needed due to the pack getting wet ifrom condensation mmediately after starting the reaction..and to protect fskin fom cold. Note this is an endothermic , oxidation process. The ingredients could be separated but unknown if the water is potable or pure or the oxidizer pure. Don't open, just use as directed IMO.Fast delivery , packed well , all intact , price is good.

A life saver after a severe accident
It's taken me 3 years to leave a review ( long recovery time from accident ) but these little ice bags were a blessing. It helped tremendously with the pain & swelling. It also enabled me to sleep a few hours during recovery. Very easy to twist the bag until it "pops" and the ice cold pack is ready for immediate use.

Stay put and access ice without walking
Don’t have to mess with ice and bags. Portable. Not too cold to burn but lasts about ten minutes for pain relief. After shoulder surgery just put a few next to me on the couch and did not have to bother my wife to prepare the ice bag. Works in our fleet of construction staff vehicles with first aid kit. Always seem to need ice when an issue arises on the job

Pretty darn awesome
If you are in bad enough shape that you need cold packs on a regular basis, you know that a cold pack is really wet within minutes of you smashing the bag. I sometimes use three or four a day--these have a nice non-woven COVER that slides on. I discovered that they can be washed in the machine and re-used!! Double awesome! Much nicer than a non-slip-covered cold pack. These are great. Also the size is a bit larger than most, and so more useful.

Don't waste your money on these!
These are TRASH! Do not buy these! I bought these for our youth football team first aid kit. Upon needing to use one at practice, we find that they don't cold but a couple of minutes, then just go warm. We tried shaking it again, but it didn't restart the cold. We have other, smaller ones that will. These also do not get as cold as our smaller ones and they take several seconds to start getting cold. The chill isn't even as cold as our tap water! This is a total waste of money.

5-10 Minutes of Moderate Cold
There are some manufacturing quality problems with the case of these that I received, with some of the units getting much colder than others, and some lasting quite a bit longer than others. The best of the bunch lasted for about 15 minutes, and provided moderate-to-good cold (about 5 of the 24), the worst of the bunch lasted about 5 minutes and got only a bit cool. The bulk of the package lasted about 10 minutes, and got cold in a range that is firmly "moderate", not particularly cold, but definitely not just "cool".I didn't have high hopes for these disposable cold packs, and these came in (with just a couple of execptions), as unexceptional, but usable.Compared with others that I have used, though, they were exceptionally easy to "pop" and get working. Some other brands have required a really sharp blow to break the bag of water inside of them, but these were quite easy to break the internal bag, without just popping and leaking through slightly rough handling. If they could get the level of cold and duration of usability under better control, I'd be super happy with them. As it is, they're the better side of "meh".
