Perfect Fit For RV Door Many Year Ranges.
We have three 5th wheels years ranging from 2001 2004 2016 in our family. I am the guy that repairs to them all. Moms door wouldn't hold open.I purchased this through the warehouse open box for 8 bucks.Works great. The gas charge is a little stiff for her, but I believe its because she got used to the old shock being depleted. It will, like most shocks, get easier. Door holds great in the Texas high winds. The same shock is on all 3 camper doors.Little add on Tip- when replacing this shock. Remove the old shock with a flat head screw driver or butter knife. If you notice the screws holding the bracket on the door loose keep reading for a full proof way to resolve this from damaging your door.Remove the bracket with a 1/4 or 5/16 socket. See how the holes the screws go in are convexed. Shut the door. Take a small hammer or equivalent and lightly peck them them to flush surface. Needs to be flat or concaved slightly. Get a tube of liquid nails high adhesion. Fill the holes in with LN, apply a small bead to the surface where you will remount the bracket. Reattach the bracket only and tighten screws slightly beyond snug, if screw spins, tighten until you fill the best grip. wipe off access adhesion and wait 24 hours for fully cure before putting shock damper on.When putting the damper on just pop it on no tools required. Make sure the chamber cylinder is attached to camper

Drop in replacement
Wind tore my old 20" door support off on my 2018 Jayco Octane 181SL. The part# is different but this works just fine.

Correct size
had to get this size to assist lifting end of RV bed platform to access under area storage. Q2 of 20 (40 total) and Q2 of 40 (80 total) was not adequate. Even 60s (120 total) require a small effort to lift up end of bed platform. Possibly due to fact that the strut force is at an angle and not 100% vertical so only a vector of the full force is being used. I did not want o go even larger or the bed base/end may pop up on bumpy roads. Just right.

Perfect replacement for camper door shock
This was an ideal replacement for the door on a Bigfoot camper. The measurements matched and the new one was a correct replacement. The new one works smoothly and also looks a lot better (old one was rusty). One thing to be aware of in case you are re-doing your door hardware: you might have other brackets and hardware that should be cleaned or replaced. In particular, I recommend getting stainless steel screws for any things you are replacing.

Works, but maybe too well?
Got it quick, fits perfect, but....it's a 'tad' on the strong side for a lightweight rv door. It WILL open the door, be ready. That being said, the original was 14yrs old and may have lost a little 'spring' so I may not be making a fair assessment. For now, we are using it on the assumption it will break in a bit and it definitely holds the door open, even in a good wind.

Keep on knocking, but you can't come in.
I use this to replace the ones that came on my toy hauler RV. I was impressed with the fact that they do not slam the door opens they are slow and smooth. I would definitely recommend.

Right strength for my Jayco door
I bought this to replace the stock 20 lb spring that came on my Jayco. The 20 lb spring would almost blow the door off its hinges if the handle slipped out of your hand by accident and, eventually, the original spring eventually broke.I got this 10 lb spring and it opens the door gently but still has some decent holding power to keep it open.

I didnt expect to be this impressed
As soon as I got them I thought they were the wrong size. I had measured my openings and was SURE that they would fit. I tried them in the space and panicked a little. I removed it and compressed it on my work bench. I then realized it was ME that wasn't thinking clearly. I then popped them on both doors of my Curtis Cab on my Kubota F3060. They work PERFECTLY. The 15 pound compression is s spot on... not too much or too little. Lucky guess. I am seldom 100% satisfied buying items online. This time I am.
