Easy to install, although the instructions are a bit confusing. The hardware included worked well. A 3/4" x 21" x 31" board weighted in at 10 lbs., so I installed two of these. It comes down really slow, but that's OK. Watch the installation video.

The wording on the installation card confused me and I used the wrong side of it. I watched the YouTube video several times. Then I reinstalled the dampener on the left and found that it worked. Then I applied the card to the right side of the cabinet and installed the dampener correctly. The top is 24”x 41” x 3/4” white oak mounted on a piano hinge. The lid rotates straight up above the opening of the cabinet. The dampeners allow it to slowly close and no slamming on fingers! I am pleased!

this product requires an interior depth dimension of over 5". It is not compatible with shallow depth applications.

Used for building granddaughter toy box, love the soft close effect! Easy to install.

This is an amazing product. Unfortunately I wasn't able to use them like I had hoped. However I was able to use it on a different project. Big thank you to the seller, they are exactly as in the photo. Shipping was also very fast. I love my new little toy box. I will try to upload photos.

It was a little sketchy getting it installed. But once I was able to figure it out it works like a charm. I recommend watching YouTube videos on how to install. 100% recommend this product. I installed it on our wooden toy box. Before I had it the lid would slam shut on the kids and make them cry. This little gadget allows the lid to stay open and close quietly and slowly when closing. If you need it, buy this one.

As advertised. Used 2 on blanket chest lid that weighed 14 lbs. worked well.

Functioned as advertised. Until it didn't, letting the lid slam shut on fingers. Soft close just stopped, and it wasn't pretty. Lid within weight guidelines. Was installed for barely a month. Be careful.

It matched and worked perfectly. Fitted without difficulty. Fixed the drop down writing station of M&S Sonoma writing bureau.

One needs to be very accurate on the installation. The YouTube video was really useful, but paper template needed to put emphasis on the distance to the hinge pivot point, not all boxes have the same hinge setup as the video. Once that was understood the setup was simple and everything worked really well.
