Great portable gym
I have a good gym setup at home, but find it difficult to keep my workouts going when I travel. This is a great solution! It folds up small to fit in a backpack, provides a decent amount of resistance, is easy to use, and offers a good variety of workouts for isolating various muscle groups as well as for compound lifts. Even at home, there are some lifts on this machine that I’ve incorporated into my routine workouts.Construction is plastic, but feels sturdy. I saw some reviews with concerns and it does sometimes make a creaking sound but I’ve seen this actually comes from some pieces rubbing together and not actually any build quality issues. It folds up quite easily and adding/removing weight is quick. It’s a little expensive especially since it only goes up to 40lbs, but if you travel a lot or can get enough use out of it at home it feels worth it. The online videos are great for walking through individual workouts, but it would be great if they came out with an app for easier navigation and planning longer workouts that target specific muscle groups.

It's a nice workout device, but...
I like this little portable gym, it's easy to use, and the resistance is sufficient for maintenance exercise. However, there is one but problem. Like other people have stated, you can not remove the last resistance puck that attaches directly to the device. This therefore makes it less "portable" than it could be, as I can't fold it completely closed to make the smallest possible footprint in my luggage.Let me elaborate a little bit on the problem, as I have read the replies to buyer comments by the supplier and I can tell you, "Just twist it and pull," is not working. I'm not the worlds strongest man, but I promise if I keep twisting and pulling, I am going to snap one of the arms on this thing off, and the puck is still going to be stuck. I also understand how to use basic tools, and even getting a prying tool sized for the job will not dislodge the nut that the square shaft indexes to.To remove them, you are supposed to turn it slightly, and while keeping the puck under torsion while supporting the machine with your other hand, pull it straight out. That works great for the other three pucks, but that last one is absolutely galled into the retaining slot that holds the square peg. You can access the back of the pivot joint, and upon removing the screw that holds the joint in place, you can remove the entire assembly. I am hoping when I get home I can buy a longer screw in the same pitch and drive that last puck out, but I really don't want to carry an extra small piece around with me all of the time that will get lost. For the lack of ability to store it in the smallest form it could achieve, the less than robust construction of the injection molded plastic arms (it REALLY flexes when performing certain exercises), and the rather dismissive attitude the manufacturer has had in regards to those before me who raised this issue, I can't give it 5 stars, despite it being a very nice piece of exercise equipment in all other respects.

Great Home Gym but BEWARE!
This is the second nova gym that I have purchased and while I do love the product, the band packs break fairly quickly. The company used to supply replacements but they are now bankrupt and will not answer emails. Please be aware because once the flex packs break, there is no support From the company. Very frustrating and disappointed.

Do Not buy!!! Expected better way quality...
UPDATE 8/16/22: Downgrade from3 stars to 1. Basically just a waste of money. The spiralflex disc is has been stuck for months... have tried all the ways to pry them off of each other and the machine. Only instruction from company is to twist right and pull, but it doesn't work. Originally bought due to the stated portability, but does.not fit in backpack without being able to remove the disc's. No help from company. Definitely regret buying it.UPDATE: The Spiralflex disc's have become difficult to remove. Not so portable without being able to remove the disc's easily.Received today. Loud click heard on first try of pulling handles, but was fine after. Dirt/gunk noted on the rubber portion of the spiralflex discs (pictured below) , which is pretty disappointing for a brand new product costing $200+. 3 stars for device being fairly easy to use. Would like to add more resistance.

Great workout
I had the original but needed more resistance. Love the new handle design.

CHEAP!
I bought this for my husband who's been lifting free weights for over 40 years. he immediately noticed three key issues hence the immediate return.1. the retractable handles do not always go back into the slots. when this happens you can easily twist your wrist(s). this happened multiple x when extending outward & upon retracting the cable the handle would dangle instead of locking in.2. the unit spins far too much as you move from one exercise the unit rotates wiggles or spins.3. bicep curls & other exercises are not natural the device gets in the way of itself & you have to rely on what should be your free hand to hold it in place when performing some of the exercises.4. It just feels cheap (sorry it does) may be perfect for astronauts as promoted but earth bound exercisers need a workout unit that feels like it will work you out as opposed to working to try to work out.

Great portable workout
Portable and allows you to add additional resistance with more weights. Tons of good options on the instructions included

Could be damn near perfect with some design changes
I'm a gym rat who does a lot of driving for work and was hoping for something that would let me get some resistance reps in during downtime. It's a very nifty idea and delivers on the promise of linear resistance but the design is far from perfect. The cables don't extend out far enough for the full ROM for the lateral deltoid exercises for me with a reach of 78". Some basic exercises like curls and tricep extensions feel awkward and don't work smoothly through the full range of motion. It suits my purpose, that being easily portable access to resistance exercises to keep the guns from rusting when long days at a sedentary job makes going to the gym tough. But it would be difficult for me to imagine a regular guy using this to get jacked/athletic.
