Is it possible to do insert without, no. But, it's much easier with.

Worked great for removing pins on throttle body connector for BMW.

Well made but hard to use.
Interesting little tool. It does remove the terminal if the wire is not too large and the crimp on the terminal is even and smooth. I don't know how any tool could be made that works any better. These terminals are just darn hard to get out unless all is perfect. If you have to remove one of these terminals the tool is worth the try and it may work for you.

This is way too delicate for removing subD pins. Mine broke after a few uses. Pay a little more and get better quality.

They break and wear out quick, which they have these in metal so you dont keep buying them all the time.
