Excellent
If you like driving and driving games, you'll love this. I'm not a particular fan of F1, but the thrill of trying to get an F1 car round a track as fast as you can with no assists is amazing. The dynamic weather works well, giving you a feeling that you're racing rather more in the real world than in a game like Forza 4.To get the most out of the game you're really, really going to need a wheel. Luckily the Microsoft Speed Wheel I have is cheap, and works well with the game. It definitely makes it far easier to control throttle and brakes. Steering is of course much more intuitive and sensitive.AI is excellent. Easy is easy to beat, but harder skill levels are really fast and intelligent. Great stuff. Weirdly drivers tend to be much faster in practice than qualifying, which I don't think reflects real life. The only downside I can think of is the slightly cheesy and irritating career "interviews" after races. A tv reporter asks you various questions to which you can give one of three or four set answers. I think it's meant to help develop your career in some way. Not sure.

still the best one in the series
I still like this one the best, even after having played 2012 and 2013.It fixed the only significant problem I had with the first game; the constant screen freeze. It also made the first-person experience feel more immersive and authentic; fx in how the vehicle vibrates and shakes on the track. The later games are lacking in this and therefore don't feel as authentic to me as 2011 does. The game allows the user to fine-tune the difficulty by offering many AI-difficulty options, the later games don't offer the same range.I also prefer the physics in this game over the others, it plays like an arcade-sim hybrid, which is what Codemasters do best.Because of these things I consider this the best F1 game by Codemasters.

Codemasters F1 2011
This game is considerably better coded than some other driving game products. It just seems much more realistic.Perhaps the manufacturers could include a sliding scale set up for virtual reality. On one end it could say "parameters similar to professional F1 simulator" and at the other end the scale should read "Twockers Virtual Ridiculous (TVR)".Enjoy.If this review has confused you, or you do not quite follow the subtlties, please don't buy an Audi TT in real life.

Fun, but difficult
I used to love F1 '97 on the old N64, and thought I'd relive my glory days, but unfortunately, things have moved on, and my reactions have only gotten slower... The graphics and realism is amazing, even to the extent where you have a tiny bump with your opponent, and the front wing shatters into a million tiny bits! You can (I think) adjust the damage and difficulty in the settings, but I've always found racing games to be a bit boring without enough realism, so I think I'll struggle on and improve the old fashioned way - practice (and qualifying!)...

Fantastic Game and Delivery
The delivery was super fast, took 40 hours since the purchase. The game is overall quite fun and has many challenges. The only thing which annoys me is the drastic change of performance from the AI if you switch it from intermediate to hard difficulty.

I hated this game
I hated this game but before you start a character assassination on my person because it isnt the same as your review of the game stop and remember this is my own personal opinion of what i wanted from the game. This game is to much hassle and the controls (using a standard xbox pad) toooo sensitive. Bear in mind I am a fairly lazy gamer and prefer a arcade type experience (i'm sure many will say this is mean't to [provide as a ralistic experience as possible from a video game) but most games have different levels and I generally always use the easiest level (lazy mode) which generally simulates a arcade style game which is what I was wanting.I Have played many older F1 games from many different platforms and this was the most irritating games i've played.Pros. Good graphics. Cant think of any others as I didn't play long enough to find themCons. To complex and to much hassle to simply start the game and drive round in circles on your favourite circuit eg monaco. Engine noise, at high revs is really really really irritating, and very difficult to feather the throttle to stop this. Controls using a standard xbox controller way way to sensitive (no car in the world would handle this way)not even F1. Racing line graphics are orrible (of course if you don't use them its not an issue for hardened gamers). frustrating graphics when loading levels/gameAll in all an un-pleasurable experience for a casual part time gamer like myself its not for the lazy at heart some really orrbile sound effects and graphics never played long enough to really experience the game simply because it pissed me off before i could settle into it.If you want a real challenge and be able to feel as if your a f1 driver then this may be for you. But there is a reason why there are so few professional F1 drivers, because its bloody hard and takes a lot if skill and lifes to short for me to bother trying to master it.I'm sure many others will disagree but please don't waste your time being a troll its my personal opinion which is often at odds with others I used my money to buy it and therefore feel entitled to express my experience from playing it.
