It provides a modern, sophisticated look
I recently used Cuprinol’s Garden Shades in Urban Slate to refresh my outdoor furniture and fences, and here’s my review based on my experience with this product. Pros: Beautiful Color: The Urban Slate shade is stunning! It provides a modern, sophisticated look that complements both traditional and contemporary outdoor settings. The rich, dark hue really enhances the natural beauty of wood and other surfaces. Easy Application: I found the application process to be straightforward. The paint goes on smoothly with both a brush and a roller, making it easy to cover surfaces evenly. I appreciated how well it adhered to previously treated wood without the need for extensive prep work. Durability: After several weeks of exposure to the elements, the finish has held up remarkably well. The paint is resistant to fading, chipping, and peeling, providing long-lasting protection against weather conditions. Water-Based Formula: The water-based formula is a significant advantage. It has a low odor and cleans up easily with soap and water, making the painting process much more pleasant compared to oil-based alternatives. Eco-Friendly: Cuprinol is known for its commitment to sustainability, and this product is no exception. It is eco-friendly, which is a plus for environmentally conscious consumers who want to minimize their impact while maintaining their outdoor spaces. Quick Drying Time: The drying time is impressively quick. I was able to apply two coats in one day without long waiting periods, which expedited my project considerably. Cons: Limited Coverage: The 2.5-litre container has a somewhat limited coverage area, especially if you are working on larger projects. Depending on the wood's porosity, I found that I needed more than one container to complete my fence and furniture. Requires Multiple Coats: For the best results, multiple coats are necessary to achieve a uniform finish, particularly if you’re covering a lighter base color. This can be time-consuming, so plan accordingly. Surface Preparation Needed: While it adheres well to some surfaces, those that are heavily weathered or previously treated may require thorough sanding or priming to ensure the best adhesion and finish. Not Suitable for High Traffic Areas: While durable for outdoor use, the finish may not hold up as well in high traffic areas or on surfaces subject to heavy wear. For such applications, additional protection or a more robust product may be necessary. Price Point: Although the quality is high, it is slightly more expensive than some other outdoor paints. However, I believe the durability and aesthetic benefits justify the cost. Overall Verdict: Cuprinol 5159075 GSUS25L Garden Shades in Urban Slate is a fantastic choice for anyone looking to refresh their outdoor spaces with a modern, stylish finish. The beautiful color, ease of application, and long-lasting durability make it a standout product in the garden paint category. While there are some considerations regarding coverage and surface preparation, the overall performance and eco-friendly features make this paint a worthwhile investment for enhancing outdoor aesthetics. If you’re in search of a high-quality outdoor paint that delivers both protection and style, I highly recommend Cuprinol Garden Shades Urban Slate.

Good paint
Great paint. This is a good colour in my opinion. More like army green. Dries well. Goes on easily and is pretty much non drip. You just have to get to know the colours as the description isn't always a true representation.

nice paint
bought this paint on amazon as it was cheaper than anywhere else. Painted untreated timber and took a couple of coats to sink in but overall coverage was excellent. Quite watery so beware of splashes. Good quality though and easy to touch up in later years to ensure complete coverage

Nice colour imo and easy to use
This is a lovely colour and goes well against the pine back drop - easy to use - and goes on well - Cuprinol quality and the finish is lovely Amazon need to put clips on the lid rather than tape although it was bagged

Worth paying for, excellent garden paint
Excellent paint, purchased to paint over two terracotta pots, and a wooden decking tile which my Buddha statue sits on. Coverage was excellent- first coat dried within 2-3 hours, then I applied a second coat. Colour (ash black) is spot on. (I had previously used some left over “Ronseal Once” fence paint to paint over a couple of wooden planters, and the coverage was terrible. After 4 coats, the paint was still patchy, and after a little knock when walking past with the watering can, the paint completely came off in one spot. I shall definitely be using the Cuprinol garden shades to repaint the whole box. You certainly get what you pay for, and Cuprinol is worth paying the few extra pounds).

Dont overthink, go for it!
at first I was a bit unsure about this colour but as it was on sale I thought I will give it a go (can always paint over it not looking nice right?) I have dark green decking and brown fencing (paints from the same brand) and to my surprise this colour looks really amazing with my garden design! I am using these paints for years now for my garden furniture, fences, decking and my greenhouse shelvings. Even my tortoise shed! and I love them! the range of colours is amazing, the quality and durability as well. Next to add some autumn orange to my garden :) Highly recomended to have a look through as everyone will find something they will love,

Dazzling Yellow. Holy cow.
Now, if you're reading this, you've already made up your mind. You're not the sort of person to have Dazzling Yellow fence and neither am I. But here we are. An insane resolve possessed me once I'd decided to paint those 2 mis-matching half panels at the end of the garden to even them up. Do I go for grey, as seems to be the current trend? Hell no. The thinking was that, at best, yellow would make the panels just look like new, and at worse, on a summers day they would look like something from the chill out area of some Ibiza club. I don't think I've painted a fence before (fear I'd just bodge it) but this went well. Mask up the bits you don't want Dazzling Yellow and dive right in. The small pot I got did the job, so I'd estimate you can get a couple of full sized panels double-coated with one. The paint goes on absolutely fine and the colour is amazing. You just don't know until it's done. The only con is that you can now see my fence from space and my friends call me Mr Tumble.
