ARIAT Terrain Ease Waterproof mens Western Boot

I'm in construction. I do drywall for a living and I wanted something durable and confortable. Water proof and lightweight. They slip on and off easy and not to mention they are low top so it's easy to move around. They look good. The leather cleans up easy. They are a little pricey but worthy the money for sure!

I have numerous pairs of Ariat boots and shoes and have been very satisfied with them. These however are not the same quality. With in a few days of very light wear the stitches around the ankle started to come out and the material inside started to pill. This was after only about three days and 1-3 hours a day of wear. I fixed the stitches and cleaned off the pilling and they are comfortable. The stitches are now staying but it continues to pill up inside.

First, know that I'm a rancher, work long hours and only wear Ariats. I was excited about a slip on I could use to feed, bathe horse, do chores, etc. without having to put on my boots in the sweltering summer heat.The shoes arrived two days ago and I wore them for a lesson yesterday for the first time (other than trying them on when they came in). Big mistake. 15 minutes into the lesson I could tell the very top of the heal of the shoe was rubbing my heals raw. By the time I finished an hour later, all the skin was rubbed off my heal/ankle. Looking at the design, the top of the heal curves in. Why would they do that???I'm doubling up on bandaids and hoping I can wear them in enough to get past this. The rest of the shoe is comfortable, and I've already gotten them filthy, so it's not like I can return them.Ariat, as a long-time customer, please fix this design flaw! If you do, I'll always have a pair of these from now on!BTW, I always get my Ariats in men's. These are 8.5 in men's.
