I needed a clock at work to help with awareness of the exact time. The computer just doesn’t cut it for me. It’s not just for me, my office mate said, “Get one!” due to the same problem. This one is perfect. We both wanted an old school clock, black and white with the red second hand. Strangely, though, the red hand doesn’t do what we are used to, which is move forward with a constant jerky movement. This one has a red hand that makes a smooth, slow arc around the face. Other than that, It’s the one we all grew up with that counted out the minutes and hours of the day. Oh, and one more important difference. This one doesn’t go “tick, tock” all day. It is completely SILENT. And we are both okay with that part. We just needed the commanding visuality of the clock to let us know that time is indeed marching on and we need to keep working. You will need to supply it with a AA battery. There is no cover for the battery compartment, but don't worry, the battery is not going to flop out. In point of fact, I had trouble making the battery fit because is was so tight. I discovered that it was easier to push the + end of the battery in first and then push hard on the - end to snap it into place. And you will need a nail with a more substantial head on it to hold the clock to the wall using the typical hanger hole on its back side. Highly recommend this if you are looking for the old school clock to remind you of the correct time, in case you have lost track.
