Ok in an emergency
The bacon came out hard and there was a plasticky scent to it.

Do not expect Canadian style bacon.
I bought this as I understood it to help create nice crisp bacon, Canadian style. Have not been able to achieve that. Maybe an instruction leaflet could be supplied as how to do that. I have tried different times in the microwave and they come out either too soggy (assuming because the cover is on) Or too shriveled because they were left in there too long. Don’t recommend it at all. OK as a gimmick.
