Bostitch Office Multi-Mount Manual Pencil Sharpener, Vacuum Mount or Screw Mount, Black (MPS2-BLK)

This is a great pencil sharpener. It does a smooth, sharp job of sharpening my colored pencils and regular lead pencils (well, technically graphite ;-) ). The vacuum mount works well to hold it in place, but it does lose suction over time, but it is perfect if you don't have somewhere you want to permanently mount it, but you need it held securely long enough to sharpen a box of pencils. I've used several handheld sharpeners, electric sharpeners, and such, but nothing to me matches the feel and quality of a manual pencil sharpener. Give me this, my Ticonderoga pencils and some paper and let me write to my hearts content!

Only complaint is that it can be a little difficult to get it to stick. The lever on the side that gets the suction to work can be very difficult. Also once it is placed it can come loose while sharpening. But even with all of that it does sharpen perfectly and you can still use it when it’s not suctioned. I have gone through I don’t know how many regular and electric sharpeners and this one does great!

The suction pops off very easily, even when it's just sitting there. When you are using it, it is likely to pop off at least once. However, it was pretty cheap, so in that sense I guess it's not terrible.

To me, this item pretty much uses false advertising. Yes, it has a suction feature. NO, that suction feature DOES NOT WORK. I have a metal bookcase. If this should adhere to anything using suction, it should adhere to a metal bookcase. But when you actually USE the pencil sharpener, it always breaks away from the suction.Additionally, the fact that this has only one grinder rather than two makes it feel unbalanced when sharpening. Returning.

Handy and easy to use. I like that it's easy to put away, move around and set up.

I used an older version of this at a relative’s home and bought my own. It gets pencils extra sharp and so far no leakage of pencil shavings. I like the fact that it is portable and can go with me wherever I set up my remote office.

Bostitch really have gone down hill with this specific product. The plastic is very flimsy and when you have kids in the house that are always sharpening their pencil... the product doesn’t last!The suction too after a while doesn’t seem to stick long enough to finish sharpening a pencil!

Excellent sharpener must be on smooth surface for suction to work properly. Textured countertop did not hold well. When used on smoother surface held well. Sharpens pencils to a fine point. Reminds me of the old school sharpeners. Very pleased with purchase

Quality is good but not sure about the durability until we use them for a long period of time.

Succion cup pops up all the time. Does not work at all. But the sharpener works well.
