No bajara demasiado la temperatura, pero no está de más en ciertos modelos de NVME, y sobretodo en lugares muy calurosos.

Great design, easy installation.

Install was easy. These are very low profile, but better than nothing. I have not really noticed a significant drop in temps, but I do not exactly work the drives very hard. Single user NAS at the moment. It is mainly storage of common small files, like documents etc. Also stores photos, but they are not accessed more than a few times per week.

Just peel the backing off the thermal pad and set on the drives and screw down. Just keep in mind, you cover two drives per heat sink, you cannot separate and install individually. No way to know if they are doing any good but assuming they have to cool in some manner and every little bit helps.

just in case i got this one and it seems to work. Not sure if it would also work without. I just got it as all my other devices have heatsins too.

There's no real technical reason why this has to be a dual heatsink.The mounting hardware for these is of poor quality (on the NAS itself) and is liable to break off when installing or removing this heatsink to access either of the two drives. That leaves you with a broken NAS and Asustor refuses to take care of the problem.Disappointing

for most part my NVMe are running around25c I have never seen them past 30c even under heavy loads.

Two of the drives in my Asustor Flashstor Pro were running hot (>70C) under heavy load (like when scrubbing or rebuilding a RAID5 array). Heatsink solved the problem completely (now <60C under heavy load)

*edit - Increased to 4 out of 5 stars as when purchasing a second set, the screws were included.Would have been 4 stars if they included the fixing screws. These are specified for the Asustor and they aren't super cheap. So why did they not include the fixing screws! I assume an oversight as the cost of including the screws would have been pennies. Took me a few goes at trying to purchase the correct size, so they could have saved me this trouble.Product itself is fine and is advised for certain types of SSD drives, probably best to install in any case as SSD's are not cheap to replace in case of overheating.Realistically these should have been included with the main drive itself.

Indispensabile per chi ha comprato un aunitò Flashtor. Solo 4 stelle per il prezzo, inutilmente alto.
