A great CD, ONE IF MY FAVOURITES.

Glen Campbell's Very Good Country Classic, comforable, joyful and easy listening, I love it.

This CD is brilliant and deserves to amongst the top of the music charts, it is pure Campbell brilliant in a CD. The play back is good, the sound is brilliant and Campbell's voice is pure honey. I have collected his records and CD since I first heard him as a teenager, all the old favourites are on the CD,Rhinestone Cowboy, Galveston, and who can forget Wichita Linesman, just listening to this CD sends me into another time, I was young then and car where flashier. Is it worth buy yes just to hear a great singer.

This is a very good best or Glen Campbell but for me The Complete Glen Campbell-His 20 Greatest Hits is better and the best 1 cd best of of his that includes the most of his classic songs on 1 cd. I prefer having all the hits on 1 cd not spread over 2 with all my best ofs. A close 2nd to it is Rhinestone Cowboy The Best Of Glen Campbell which has 27 songs on it.

20 Golden greats one of those rare compilation albums where the quality of the songs match the title.Like many people, the only track I really knew of Campbell's was the classic (if not slightly cheesy) rhinestone cowboy. I was also aware of Wichita Lineman but this was from the cover by Jose Feliciano. I decided to check out Campbell's work after seeing a documentary on BBC4.Based on the other reviews I decided to give this album a go. What a great decision.The album is chock full of classics such as "Gentle on my mind", "By The Time I Get to Phoenix", "Galveston" and "Country Boy". There is no bad track on this album and Campbell's voice plus the impeccable arrangements compliment the fine writing.Despite being classed as a country artist, the album has a variety of styles means it stands up to repeat listens.There may be more comprehensive compilations out there (this is only a single disc and was originally released a while ago), however for an overview of one of the true greats in modern music at the very top of his game you cannot go wrong here.

I first heard Glen Campbell back in the early 1970's. I was captivated then by the depth and emotion of his singing. I still am.I bought the LP of this CD way back, many years ago. Having a desire to be able to play Campbell's music elsewhere than that dictated by a record player, I bought this disc.Memories came flooding back.Stand out tracks are Rhinestone Cowboy, Whichita Lineman, Honey Come Back, and All I Have to do is Dream.Wonderful stuff. I put him in the same category as David Gates, another fine performer. (His Songbook album I thoroughly recommend)Not one mediocre track on this compilation.

Wonderful collection of some of his very best hits, and what makes it even more special is his excellent diction. Every word he sings is so clear, unlike many singers today. So very sad that such a great performer is no longer with us. This is a super CD at a very reasonable price, and I definitely recommend it to any Glen Campbell fans.

I brought this as an LP, many years ago, & I still have it, in the loft with many others of this era. I was having a "remembering day", when I thought of this LP, & I was well excited when I found it in CD format, I just had to have it & I'm well pleased.

Somewhere in the loft I have this album on vynil ,but when you have several hundred to search through well sometimes it`s just easier to buy again.My interest in Glen Campbell was re-awaken by a recent tv special showing him in the eighties I guess.Viewing him in action reminded me just what a special talent he was and indeed still is despite failing health.I intend to buy more of his work including his latest album that unfortunately will probably be his last.The price at AMAZON of this album 20 Golden Greats is a steal and I urge everyone to buy a copy.You will not be disappointed.

I had this album on an LP many years ago and tried to copy it to audio tape and CD but technology wasn't as advanced then (I'm still not very advanced) so the result was all the scratches and 'skip' bits were also copied. So I binned them and I tried for a long time to find it on CD with no joy. However, looking last week on Amazon there it was ... the lost album ... so once again I can now listen to some of my favourite songs. I would recommend this album to anyone who likes Glen Campbell's music.

My dear friend asked me to get this for her for Christmas. She has it on vinyl but it's been played to death. The cd is very good quality and plays in her car with no issues whatsoever.

A wonderful collection of Glen Campbell's greatest work. Well worth adding to anyone's music library.

Over the moon to get this cd as I had the original vinyl copy a long time ago, and have converted a younger friend to glen campbell with this cd ACE!

I have been a Glen Campbell fan since 1968 so I new this CDwould definitely "cut the mustard".... and when I played the 20tracks it certainly did. Awesome.
